Hello:
Β This is a very good representation of the Executor class, specially because you made it so the cityscape section is understandable!
Β Keep up the great work .

Wouldn't this be considered as a battleship? Because if not, what would a battleship look like?Β

Dreadnoughts are a type of battleship. In Star Wars, the designation 'star dreadnought' included anything longer than 5km. The Executor-class star dreadnoughts were some of the largest, at 19km in length.

Looks really good. I have a question for you. Is it all one object, or is it several?

:jawdropping:
Holy shit. And that's an UNofficial model??!!
Unbelievable, considering the polycount. WHOA. That looks like it came in from the movies and Lucasarts. Holy...I'll just go stand in the corner and stare slackjawed....
Faving.

I love it! I also can't believe you fit all that detail into 8.5k triangles, it's insane! Great work, gotta put this on my favs.

how!!! I would have to agree with failurecrusade how did u get that low polycount with all the detail on the top. Did u use a bumb map or something on it or something???

Enterprise-E In reply to djraceyjc [2006-02-26 20:05:43 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, she uses quite complex detail textures. i wanted the modelled and textured to be indistinguishable from the distance.

Well you did a very good job with it

damn...8.5k!!! i know the base frame of the executor would be a neasy part to do with a low count...but how did you manage to make the greeble'd (im not talking about the plugun, the term "greeble" was coined by the team that built the models for the original star wars movies) areas of the ship and keep it that low??? lots and lots of litttle boxes equals lots and lots of little polygons....settiously tho this loooks like it could be in the 50-100k range. damn good work!!!
