Description Happy future: The United States conservancy raises enough funds to save the ship, and she has a bright and happy future.

Sad future: The conservancy can't raise enough funds to save United States, and she is sold to a scrapper. By the end of a year, the mighty liner is gone...

Tell me about it. Some days I just want to shout at people who run major companies and tell them to start thinking about what we are losing to money: the ability to care about others and their safety. I mean, look at Carnival and the problems with their engines. I think tney're skipping out on proper maintenance and repair to save a few bucks. But they fail to realize that since they need customers to make money. And without proper repair and care on their engines, they'll lose customers and as a result, money. You're right on that one.

It's hard for me to think..... with the project of Titanic II still in it's early stages, saving United States might shut down and destroy bringing Titanic II to life... it's a hard thing for me to think like I said before... as much I think that United States is a great ship and still holds the Blue Riband Title.

Perhaps a new Riband Title should be made such as a Red Riband Title for the fastest cruise ship.

But if only Titanic II was the next fastest, she would have the Blue Riband Title to make Blue Star Line proud.... it would be historical...

It would be. These days ships are obscure. They've lost their true value not just as transportation, but as objects that have true souls and spirits. Nowadays it's all about money...
