Just a very quick tutorial I made to show how I change the color of my eyebrows when cosplaying.
I've had more than a few people ask me about it, so I just whipped this together in my free time. If there are any questions, don't be afraid to ask! I like to share and swap secrets of the trade with people so they can improve and experiment on their own.

Would this work well for extremely thick eyebrows? I have really thick, dark ones that stick out unlike a lot of people's eyebrows and I'd love to be able to dye them for cosplay. I haven't yet found an eyebrow tutorial that actually worked with colouring my eyebrows though.

First of all, my apologies for such a delayed response!
Secondly, yes, it should work just fine! It might take a few more layers of paint, but it covered my boyfriend's eyebrows fine, and his eyebrows are considerably darker/thicker than mine, lol!

I have very think, black eyebrows, and I tried this tutorial and unfortunately, it didn't really work :-/

I use lip liner to dye my eyebrows now. It's the only thing I've found that will work on my really thick dark black eyebrows. You could try it

It will be kind of hard to do it for blonde or white haired characters though.

I usually leave my eyebrows dark for blonde characters because thick blonde eyebrows look weird as you don't usually get blond people with thick brows. Plus it looks quite nice imo.
White haired characters I go over with a white eyeliner (the one for your waterline) and then go over with a light grey colour as usually eyebrows are a tad darker than your real hair.

I'm going to be cosplay as Cross dressing Poland and Seven Years War Prussia from Hetalia very soon, so this will help a lot for those costumes! Poland is blonde, but I don't think I'm just going to use my regular black eyebrows for him, I'll probably colour them a lighter brown. And Prussia has silver hair, so I'll just use your tip you suggested with the white eyeliner.

You can see here how I used the lip liner to do my brows. I think they came out pretty well. ^_^
A brown is a good idea. I never thought of that. I may try that next time actually.

Yeah, I figured brown would look better than a blonde, but black might just be too dark, well, depending on your character of course.

wouldn't the acrylic ruin your eyebrows ? How do you get it out of your eyebrows?

Nope, the paint doesn't harm your eyebrows at all! ^_^ Most acrylic paint is non-toxic, and I've been using it for years with no problems at all.
And to get it out, you just wash your face with whatever you would normally use on your face- soap and water works, most face wash works, I know some people use rubbing alcohol or witch hazel on their face and it works to remove it as well. Or if you like, you can use makeup remover on it.

I praise you for this! I've looked everywhere for how to do eyebrow makeup and all i had found was for arching and stuff. Not cosplaying. So this really helped me! I have a con (San Japan) in like five weeks and I've been so busy with getting my costume, wig, shoes, etc that i forgot about the eyebrow make up. And i know, i have five weeks to do all this but...I like to get things done fast so I PRAISE YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!

And I totally get the getting things done early thing! I have a con at the end of this month in Iowa and I'm already freaking out because I have a small bit of handsewing to finish. XD Getting stuff done early makes life easy! It enables me to sit back and relax the week before while my roommates run around freaking out cuz they aren't con-ready yet. XD

I swear I have the thickest, darkest eyebrows ever - eyeshadow doesn't even show up in my brows T_T but paint does! Most of my cosplay friends think I'm craaazy for putting paint on my eyebrows, since they're all light and fair, but thanks to you my brows don't ruin everything anymore
