My second completed animation attempt. (the first one )Gah, it's been a while. I spent, I think, a total of 4 hours on this one with no light table. I usually throw together a makeshift one if I try animation, but I just traced the whole thing as best and as fast as I could this time with thin, typing paper from who knows when. (I drew 24 frames and added a few with PS for the fade out)
The flow turned out better for the expression and tear than I had expected. And considering I've never gone to animation school, or got past the basics in highschool, I think I'm improving. I'm doing tons of self study on youtube right now. You can find so many demo reels there!

24 frames by hand. But a few were added on PS for the fade out ^^

I'm having an 4 years animation study and I can tell you you're improving. 15 frames is the minimal amount of frames you need for a good animation, 24 is even better! It's very flowy and lively. So this is going into my favs as a reference for my future project to remember the amount of time, frames, and what the result will be.

I delayed it a slight bit with the help of photoshop, I should tell you though. It was a fraction of a second, but for an animator it was enough to make a difference ^^

I've been drawing eversince I was 6 and I wanted to continue this passion into my studies 
Maybe i will do gaming and illustrations later also
And animation was the only one of the 4 studies on the design wing of our school I liked.

How do you go about applying for an animation school? Does it take much previous experience in the artistic world or is it just "PAY ME THE MUNEYS AND YOUR IN!"? X3

Ah, sorry for the "just" ^__^' the context of me asking that was because someone I know was asking how he could go about applying for such courses - thought it was a lot more complicated than it really was (here we have to put together a stunning advanced artist portfolio where it's very much based on what you have already learned, most are not accepted).

We were based on our work. Because most of our teachers are proffesional, they know who's got talent and who doesn't. With that in their mind they watch our presented work. On base of that I'm accepted
I'm still planning to make a short movie trailer when I'm more advanced with poses.

Wow, hard to believe you've never taken an animation class, not to mention the fact that you didn't use a light table is awesome. You obviously put a lot of work into this and it shows. The animation is wonderful the only part that is kind of iffy is when she lifts her head, it's a little jumpy, almost too fast for the emotions you're trying to portray.
Still the whole thing is very well done. I hope to see more soon! Keep up the great work!

So you haven't done one, but you've taken an animation course? I say go for it, if that's the case. It's harder if someone hasn't learn even the fundamental basics - but if you've got that, then have at it and see if you can put your knowledge to the test. ^^
Otherwise search it and there are tonsof help sites that do the job well.
