Description Third Update

680 polygons now, i think this is pretty good now.. main point is low poly skyscraping action so don't wonder, i tuned all the textures properly and hopefully found all the weird errors

Also fixed the GI, which was somehow horrid before..

Im not planning Mirrors Edge kind-of-on-the-roof detail here, so that is aswell the reason i didn't mod out any actual platforms or roofs, not yet anyway

I'm definitely keeping my eye on this one! I've been working on a large city scene for months now, and the thought of texturing all those buildings gives me nightmares.
Can't wait to see how this develops!!

Yeah, see my scraps I tried doing it "proper" you know, with high poly skyscrapers, but when zoomed out theres just no way you can keep this up, maybe for 3 buildings, but not for hundreds.

But hundred buildings with 40 polygons, is still not even the budget for a high poly character, thats pretty decent imo

Also i updated the pic .. with something more realistic

I just uploaded 3rd and last update, hopefully now its proper proper proper .. gah, this is not as easy as i thought.

If you want some help for your cityscape i would be glad to help btw. The concept i used here is nothing world-shattering new, fact its really old and simple.

The thought of texturing doesn't make me any nightmares either, i have my high poly skyscraper which can be turned into nearly any facade variation i need, full glass facade, balcony with one door and 3 window faced etc. Then i just move stuff around in photoshop for normal map and tiling stuff and thats it..
