Description
Inspired by the awesome template work of Adam Meyer I took a stab at the 180 degree character image depictions starting with my core powerhouse, Paul Michaelson, who you all know as I-Force! It's an experiment and test run in progress. Here's a sample of Adam's latest!Note to myself: These are an effing bitch to do.
But at least my three 180 templates for bulky muscular heroes are in place. I think once the templates are established, filling in costume lines and swapping heads might go pretty expeditiously. I'll try a few more from time to time.

great turn around my friend.. and thanks for the props! I love how you went on the back ground with the tech look, nice... hope to see some more in the future..
I have some other body styles for use with my turn around, but it just happens that the majority of my characters fall in the same size bracket.. more or less..
but those newer body styles will be coming out soon..gotta record the costume designs for posterity..and as a catalogue of our collective comics universe..

Mine too. You know, it's hard to find an appropriate background that doesn't detract from the figures and remains subtle. The techy things looks cool but I did it pretty quickly and randomly. Need to integrate some more orderliness to it. I love the straightforward simplicity of your comic half-tone dots and I played with that but opted for a blueprint theme in back. Difficult finding the right formula but fun!

I saw that and I don't think it necessarily means you have to name-change him. There was an Eclipse comic done back in the 80s I think that had a Crossfire character but it pooped out but I checked that before inventing him up. Both DC and Marvel have or had a Starman book, a Captain Marvel book, etc. Just food for thought.

Oh I just do it out of respect. I'll just amp his name to KrossFire lol no Crossfyre if need be. Damn I still have to buy your book.

Good work man. I am in the process of doing that to my characters too. How are you going about doing yours?

Thanks T! Have created three templates for a bulky muscular physique: front view, back biew and side view with no costume lines. Will use these and simply modify head and costume in Photoshop, add accessories and then color up and assemble. For most of my needs, I presume I will need three of four body sets for variant physiques: lean, hulking, female, small, etc. That's my so-called plan at this point but no time line as yet.

Photoshop? Lucky dog! I wish I had Photoshop! I will be doing all 210 of mine the old fashion way: by hand. I'll probably finish by 2015.

OMG! You'd really enjoy (and benefit from) scaring up a copy (I did NOT say "bootleg") and learning the ropes. You will love it. My version is fairly old (7.0) although I have the newer CS4 version but just haven't uploaded it yet! Best of luck man!
