Yet using the computer destroys the ozone. Trees or ozone?

Sure, math kills trees, but what's the point in not doing your math homework when the tree already died to make it? Not doing the math homework printed on a dead tree doesn't bring the tree back to life

Indeed it is. I didn't mean to be rude, it certainly came across as it, I felt the need to express my thoughts about it. it's true though right?

No, it isn't. For one, you are completely missing the point of the photo - it's supposed to be a funny anecdote about how much paper is used on math homework over the course of the year. Second, even if it was about the environment, saying that you might as well use the paper because the tree is already dead is failing to understand that by using less paper (for math, or anything), you buy less paper, which in turn lowers demand for paper and presumably reduces the amount of trees being cut down. It's the same concept to using less paper towels or less toilet paper.

Forgive me for my ignorance then.
For the record, I did find it funny. I'm not a robot, I do have a sense of humor. My original comment was just a blurb of a question I thought of that I felt the need to share. Perhaps I should keep quiet in the future because I have a feeling that what I have to say would just be answered with sarcastic comments.
Another thing is that emotion is poorly expressed through text over the internet without the use of emoticons or things of the sort. Even with emoticons at this point any comment from me to you automatically seems nasty doesn't it? If so, sorry again because I never meant any malice or sarcasm, for that matter.

MMan222 [2010-02-12 08:53:52 +0000 UTC]
Oh man, I saved so many trees last year in math. I did all my homework calculations in Gimp with my tablet, since all the homework was multiple choice questions online.
But now it's back to paper and BACK TO MASS TREE MURDER!

I use so much paper in math its just ridiculous. Unfortunately calculating thigns like the integrand of x²/(y+3)² on the computer is pretty hard even with a tablet.

Yeah, no kidding. It helps that it was just a bunch of pre-calc type work. Easy enough to do.
Just thinking about trying to do advanced Calculus on my computer... paper, please. xD

Gaaaah, lucky
I think I'm somewhere up there, too. I test AMAZINGLY, but my work ethic fails XP
I've been in the 99th percentile for the Math and English state tests since 5th grade XD

lol, I don't test all that well, I just have a really crazy work ethic. Hence why I'm sort of self-employed at the moment.

Self employed? Right out of high school?
Either you're very impressive, or you're shifting around words to creatively come up with another way to say "jobless." XD
Gah, can I borrow some of that work ethic? I need it to get me through senior year ><;

Oh I'm self-employed, I'm just not making any money. One usually does not make money before their company actually delivers a product xD
I'd give it to you, but you'd have to deal with all the eccentricities that come with it
Also, I added you on MSN/Yahoo IM, in case you get an invite from someone called Erik McClure...

I should show this to all of the math teachers in my school. XD
I, luckily, didn't have to take math this year.
It's not that I hate it, it's that I can't learn it, no matter how hard I try. It's like I have math dyslexia. lol XDDD

Math? You should see how much paper is wasted in my Career Pathways class
30 sheets per week on agenda logging
Another 30 sheets on chapter questions
Another 20 on vocab
8 on Research Reports
+10 on misc work

All that together =
One weeks homework.
LOL, IM FAILING THAT CLASS SO BAD "OTL
+ it all needs to be one-sided
Multiply that by 500 students ;___;
But then again, most students don't bother with the work and accept the fail luls OTL
