Here he is in colour. You know...if I drew for Marvel, this is the basic way I'd draw Toad. The two toned skin and *gasp* letting his tounge fit inside his mouth (people who read New X-Men should understand that little complaint).Anyway...TOAD!

Thanks. Making Ray Park into an EVO character was tricky, so I just went with the Toad-essence.

*Sigh of happy* It's lovely. Tee-hee...goggles! Yeah, I'm a big fan of the two-toned-ness, as well as the attiude "It's British, I'm the 'smart' one, and I can kick all o' yo' @$$es..." I just love him baiting Sabertooth.
btw, I've noticed that his hair is only green and spiky during a fight--when he's at the base, it's brown and messy. Guess that means Mortie spikes his hair before a battle to give him some mojo (the way I mess with my gloves before a sparring match ^_^)
And for the record, I like Ultimate Toad (when Kubert draws him). He's skinny, British, and can talk for four+ hours about LotR. What's not to love? Haven't seen him in New X-men. What's he look like?

He more or less looks like a normal guy with short curly brown hair. It's just that the last artist on the book drew him with his tounge sticking out about 4 feet in *every* pannel he was in. EVERY one.

I actually think he did a great job considering he only had 3 or 4 lines in the entire thing. It is how I see Toad however. Quiet and introverted, but a tinkering wiz.

Me likes! I haven't read any of the current X-men but Toad was always such a lame ass villian in the early comics. It's nice that he's finally getting a little respect, and not just as Magento's lackey.

I agree. What is UP with those dumbasses over at Marvel? No offense to Marvel in general, but Toad is supposed to be cool now. And they're practically drawing him just like he used to be. And his poor tongue doesn't help.

That's what I based it on! I saw the two tone body paint and fell in love with it. Especially with the greenish tint to the hair.

Yeah, I would have liked to have seen more Toad too. I heard the original treatment for X2 had a fight between Toad and Nightcrawler planned, but they had to cut it due to buget.
