It seems Hermione and Luna are practicing the new Expellipantsus spell in the Room of Requirement after their shopping trip to Pink so they can show off their new boy shorts to Ginny during their girls' night in (Ginny is trying on her new hipster cut panties they got her).

I am really upset with how Luna's hair was scanned! It is awesome on paper! I tried to adjust specifically her hair and that's the best it got. It just looks pale cream... There is so much more detail! It's my favorite part, actually, but you can't see!

Hermione and Luna are owned by JKR bla bla bla bla. Pink is a product of Victoria's Secret.

Colored with Prismacolor and Promarker markers.

Even Crookshanks would run!

(I love when Hermoine goes 'Crookshanks!' it makes her muggle for a moment )

Thanks. I have a trademark way to do "Hermione skin" now. And I started with a grey marker that was going dry for her robe and actually had to use sepia for the save.

My pleasure! You've figured out a good formula for skin, for sure!

Tehe, I have had markers go dry on me in the middle of a piece too. It's really a drag. Thank goodness for good old sepia!

Thank you so much (and thanks for drawing this surprise)!

I really hope your computer picks up the details. I worked forever on this and the scanner made everything so bright, canceling out the details I colored.

I was so upset. I added so many details that you would have noticed (or maybe take notes on, as I have "stolen" techniques I've seen you do ), but you can't see. Their legs (especially Hermione's) look awesomely sexy on the original paper. Luna's hair took so long. Blond is tricky, especially "dishwater blond," and there are so many layers. If you darken it to see, it turns yellow instead of the silver it really is. And I had to redo Hermione's robe because I ran out of cool grey 70%. I thought I wouldn't be able to make a save, but I remembered sepia! But then I had to redo her tank top and make it darker. I actually like her robe and shirt because earth tones fit her!

*sigh* I seem ungrateful. Thank you very much, again! :icon: I loved this drawing. I think you noticed details. I just wanted to make this really special and...that scanner!

I do see a lot of details and all the attention you've put in it You made it so beautiful! I agree, earth tone fits Hermione pretty well. And I know what you mean , it's really hard to do platinum blonde... In fact, I never was able to achieve it! It always end up darker!

PS: I hate it when I run out of a color in the middle of something. I have a reserve of the markers I use the most, but it still happen!

PPS: Haaa! Those devilish scanners! They do tends to "eat" up the more subtle details! You should see this drawing in reality! Nothing to compare! [link]

Thanks so much! I'm glad it's kind of visible.

The way I do platinum, or "Luna blond," is the same thing I did when I experimented with your Artemis, only I don't make it glow. Maybe I will record myself coloring something with that blond. It's been a while! First I use Promarker ivory as a base. Then Promarker satin. Then Prismacolor French grey 20% (not too much French grey or it makes it too dark...not too little French grey because it is just a line). Then Promarker satin again. Then Promarker ivory again to "blend" them. Then a white gel pen or paint marker.

I kind of panicked with Hermione's robe. I knew it was going to do that, but I tried anyway! But I actually like the sepia cover up better. The first idea (cool grey 70%) is a dark neutral colorlessness, really.

Indeed! If I tilt the screen, I can see "snow" much snow detail that the scanner seems to have ruined. It looks really beautiful, too! By the way, still no real snow yet. It doesn't feel like christmas and it's not going to because it feels like October! You need snow, even if you don't like it, for christmas!

Oh yes, I want to see a platinum blonde tutorial!!! I'll soon try your technique for sure! I wouldn't have thought of using "satin", but that seem to be a pretty good idea!

No snow around here either! In fact, we had freezing rain all day yesterday! It not looking like xmas at all!!!!

At least you had freezing rain! That's more christmasy than here (as long as you drive safely)! All we've had is rain. Lots of rain. Grey rain. It's like October.

Cool! Not here, though!

There needs to be snow on christmas. Even the people who hate snow must agree! Unless you're more southern, closer to the equator...
