I hope people get this...I've always wondered why the show is called "Bleach," and a while ago I decided this must be the reason. I mean, in every episode at least one character bleeds basically all their blood away during a fight, so, yeah...

I've seen this on various places of the internet...now that I've actually found the artist, I'll tell you, that I really laughed when I first saw it...Bleach characters do seem to have like 20 liters of blood in them, like a friend of mine always says XD

my friend said it's because people think your hair turns orange when you bleach it (ichigo -> orange hair -> main character ) but I like this reason better, much funnier xD and so true xD

Tite Kub wanted to call it Black at first, but that was too dark. So then he thought about calling it White, but decided Bleach was better.

I think it was explained as being symbolic because of the way the Soul Reapers clean the souls of the dead. Plus, technically, the Japanese title was "BurΔ«chi," which translates into 'Bleach' in English.
But please don't let me rain on your parade, if I haven't already! It was very inventive, and I could totally see Naruto that clueless....
