A preliminary drawing for the next knight of the realm. I'm certain that this one is actually better than what the final will look like as far as accuracy and close-quarters detail goes. The final will be like the previous entries in the "Knights of the Realm" series, a full body depiction. This profile portrait was to help me practice drawing from observation and to increase the accuracy of my depictions of real people. I'm really rather pleased with it, seeing as a don't do this sort of drawing very often and it's probably the best I've put out...my self portrait (wherever it's gone) is horrendous...John here looks much nicer.
