The 1950s was very much a golden age in American sci-fi and fantasy fiction. So it is inevitable that a lot of the 'pulp'-level stories from that time had the general technical feel of that era.

FWIW, I think that the Lost in Space TV series, despite being allegedly set in the future, felt very 'Atompunk' too.
