Description
The people that inspire me and influence the way I grow on a daily basis ♥From Left to Right
Katsura Hoshino - The creator of the D.Gray-Man manga series. Her art is the biggest influence on my style, I love the way her manga pages are portrayed and her style of using a lot of ink. I am also influenced by her story telling and her characters. (not to mention the AMAZING character development throughout her manga!! ♥)
Soodyo - I only recently discovered Soodyo, but they quickly earned a spot on my inspiration wall. I love everything about their style♥ Their use of dramatic lighting to add interest to their flat colored images. The way they draw the human body and how CONSISTENTLY they draw it! And in their more detailed/painterly style of drawings, they show a solid understanding of color and composition.
Wratshit - I admire their painterly style a lot, however what they truly influence me with is their concepts. I absolutely adore their Foxfire characters, they make me want to draw all kinds of ancient spirit characters! Also the rhythm and flow of their pieces (even the simple ones) is to die for. They have perfected the art of manipulating hard straight lines/corners with organic curves to move the eyes across the piece in a fluid motion.
BloodlineV - My favorite thing to look at in their gallery is their sketch dumps! (besides for obviously the picture depicted above. Which is my favorite from their finished paintings) Their use of shapes to create contrast and interest in even their sketches is what I find so captivating about their pieces. And not to mention their creative and accurately represented positions.
xafeelgood - The only artist that made it onto this list from Instagram! Their sketches show so much emotion through just nonverbal body language and facial expressions. I aspire to be able to draw the body the way they do someday. But you can also see from the sheer volume of sketches they post how much hard work is put into getting that good! (not to mention all the sketches/studies we don't get to see)
Karadavre - I absolutely love both their finished pieces and their doodle dumps. Both are so inspiring in the way they use color and composition. But the most influential part of their artwork is the coloring/shading of their pieces. Their shading is subtle which is a kind of style that I really like, and when they do dramatic shading they often shade with multitude of colors creating lots of interest in their pieces.
Shirow Miwa (I apologize, I got the name backwards on the map) - The creator of the Dogs: Bullets and Carnage manga series. I like his for a lot of the same reasons I like Katsura Hoshino's art. Except Shirow isn't as black heavy as Katsura. I really enjoy the line quality of his work and also the body language AND DRAMATIC ANGRY HAINE FACIAL EXPRESSIONS YESSS.
Loika - Completely influenced by their painterly backgrounds that seem simple at first and then the more you look at them the more details you notice. But despite the impressive backgrounds, they are presented in such a way that doesn't steal the show from the painting's focus.
onedayfour - I really like their way of coloring digital sketches with bold colors. And also the concepts of their characters/drawings is really inspiring for my own concepts.
