Station 3 was built in 2016 when Sheridan County Fire Rescue was established. Over the next 5 years station 3 went in and out of service finally becoming the home for our dive rescue team and Hazmat Team. ALS 1 is also housed out of this station.Engine 3 is a 2020 Spartan Type 1 Engine. This unit has a 1250 gpm pump and 1000 gallon tank. Engine 3 responds it's 1st due area of southern City of Sheridan and responds to mutual aid calls in other areas. Engine 3 is set up with five hose beds: one with 1000' of 5" large diameter supply hose, two with 300' of 2 1/2" supply/attack hose, and two with 300' of 1 3/4" attack hose. In addition to its hosebeds, Engine Fourteen also carries two 150' preconnected 1 3/4" crosslays, one 100' preconnected bumper tray line of 1 3/4" attack hose, two 8' segments of 5" hard suction hoses, two 25' segments of 2 1/2" supply/attack hose in the engineers compartment, two 50' rolls of 2 1/2" supply/attack hose with one of the rolls preconnected to a blitz fire nozzle for rapid deployment, one 150' high rise pack of 1 3/4" attack hose.. Engine Fourteen also carries two sets of forcible entry tools, one 14' roof ladder, one 24' extension ladder, one 10' collapsible attic ladder, two pike poles, one roof hook, one trash hook, two dry chemical extinguishers, one pressurized water extinguisher, four spare SCBA bottles,One Set of hydrant tools, hose adapters and nozzles, one 300' bag of life safety rope, two 150' lengths of utility rope, four rolls of fire scene tape, cribbing, battery powered extrication equipment, spare batteries for the extrication equipment, one salvage cover, two bags of quick absorbent, one wide mouth shovel, one push broom (disassembled for transport), one bolt cutter, one K-12 saw, one chainsaw, one water rescue dry suit, five collapsible traffic cones, ten road flares, 4 gas monitoring devices, a thermal imaging camera,one decon kit, one mobile data terminal, county map books, station area pre plan books, county wide hazard pre plan books, a Medtronic Monitor, ALS Jump Bag, O2 jump Bag.
Staffing 4: Captain, Engineer, FF2/EMT-I, FF/EMT-I or B
Dive 1 is a 2016 Spartan Green Mtn Custom Walk in Rescue/ Dual Boat Trailer. Total normal staffing: 0 and maintains a First Responder response level. The Dive Rescue tows a trailer with 2 dual boats. The Dive Rescue also carries rope rescue equipment, dive rescue equipment, twenty five life jackets, two dry chemical extinguishers, one supplied air cart, two long backboards, one floating stokes basket, thirty spare SCBUA bottles, twenty wetsuits, and BLS medical supplies.
Utility 3 is a 2018 Ford F 550/Unit 1 custom utility. This unit is used mainly for the crews to go run errands or to haul hoses back from fires. In the Summer it is outfitted with a Skid unit and wildland tools. This unit also carries Water Rescue Gear, and also has 2 SCBA Packs and BLS Jump Bag, 2 back boards and 1 stokes basket
Hazmat 1 is a 2016 Spartan/ Green Mtn Rescue.Hazmat 1 is cross staffed by the Engine Crew. Hazmat 1 is outfitted to carry one leak kit, one dyke kit, one 300' bag of life safety rope, two sets of forcible entry tools, one pyrocool kit, one propane burnoff kit, two vehicle wheel dollies, eighteen spare SCBA bottles, battery powered extrication tools, two K-12 saws, one acetylene torch, one purple K extinguisher, one ARFF extinguisher, one pressurized water extinguisher, one dry chemical extinguisher, one CO2 extinguisher, one wet chemical extinguisher, one dry powder extinguisher, nine bags of quick absorbent, four 5 gallon buckets of soda ash absorbent, two boxes of acid absorbent pads, two boxes of oil absorbent pads, two boxes of multipurpose absorbent booms, one 300' roll of plastic tarp, two pipe clamp kits, miscellaneous hand tools, one box of sample jars, one box of "T" patches, one box of dowels and plugs, one drum repair kit, one leak seal kit, one box of non sparking tools, one box of mercury containment tools, one air bag kit, detection and monitoring equipment, four portable decontamination showers, twelve radiation protection suits, twelve level A HAZMAT suits, twelve level B HAZMAT suits, five traffic cones, ten road flares, two rolls of fire scene tape, two rolls of hazardous materials scene tape, two long back boards, one stokes basket, one trauma jump bag, one oxygen jump bag, one spare M-15 oxygen cylinder, and BLS medical supplies.
