There is not enough Samurai 7 art on here. Or on Tegaki. Shame, people, shame.

I really want to see the original movie. I've now seen the Magnificent 7 and Samurai 7. I want to see the movie that inspired both of those. Because they were really good.

I loved Heihachi. He was so... nice. And creative. And smart. And didn't take life too seriously. Yeah, if you happened to turn traitor to the group, he was liable to try to chop off your head, but for the most part he was a really nice guy. I liked that totally unrealistic, GARGANTUAN ballista he built that fired bolts the size of Sequoias. Ahhhh, good times, good times. And for not having much actual combat experience (since he was an engineer), he was pretty darned handy with that sword.

And that's a sunset, not a sunrise, because, well... I won't spoil it for those who haven't seen the show and haven't heard me ranting on Gaia. I happened to spoil myself early on in the show, so yeah...

I promise I don't draw from this angle nearly so often as it seems. It just so happens that I post pics from this angle more than others because the other drawings I do most often are lecture sketches. *sigh* I must break this habit...
