Data Card for the USS Olos a small Starfleet Science frigate i kitbashed from the Cheyenne, California and the Antares variant of the Miranda class. During the Corona lockdowns me and my buddies from the Euderion fangroup try to deal with a little world building for our projects to keep us busy. The Olos was the first command of Captain Ellen Delia, the later Captain of our Hero Ship, the USS Euderion. What the Stargazer was to Captain Picard, the Olos was to Captain Delia.

The Olos was supposed to be a small science ship from the TNG era. A frigate that should be more defense-ready than an Oberth class, but should not go in the direction of destroyer type like the New Orleans class. Finding a canon ship class for this turned out to be difficult. Either they were too modern (Nova) too militant (New Orleans) or typical defenseless Red Shirt ships (Oberth). Thats why i came up with this new type, the Elfaron class ("Starhunter" in Sindarin).

The USS Olos ("Dream" or "Vision" in Sindarin and Quenyan language) is a 226 meters long Science frigate of the Elfaron class. Even if it is rather small compared to other common ship classes in Starfleet, it is designed for research missions lasting several years. These ships have limited offensive capabilities but are also not completely defenseless. It has 4 Typ 9 Phaserbanks and a front firing Torpedo Launcher.

In 2374 the USS Olos embarks on a two-year research mission to the Theta Indi sectors in the Beta Quadrant to examine and catalog the planets and stellar objects there.

After the Dominion War drastically shortened the Olos research mission and the previous captain was killed in an attack by the Jem'Hadar, the Olos is commanded by Commander Ellen Delia from 2375.
