i would really like to see this in colour. the composition and the feeling of the photo is great, but i personally don't like b&w in nature shots. do you maybe have a color version somewhere online?

Naw, I don't. I toyed with a color equivalent for awhile before defaulting to a monochrome submission (with which I'm a lot happier). I'll try again when I've time.

Wow - this is an amazing image. SO much depth here - physically and emotionally speaking.
Where is zion?

It's here: [link]
I've visited the Grand Canyon and Mesa Verde and a few other widely-recognized parks in the United States but wasn't nearly so breathless -- literally, thanks to the elevation of some hikes -- as I was at Zion.

Zion...makes me think of the last refuge of the human race in The Matrix.
Love the dramatic feel in this shot!

It's the name of the national park at which this was shot, too; so fitting in both cases. Thanks!

WOW!!
stunning view! I can only imagine how I would get goosebumps in your place..
this is so romantic, man versus nature..
great shot Derek.. I just love how the mountains fade in the horizon and overlap each other.. -I love the sky too. the perfect capture would be this with a splitting thunder in the background..
amazing shot..!!!
