Yep! I shot this photograph with a wide-angle lens that made the swing look like it was a lot further from the ground than it was. It makes a lot more sense if you rotate the image ninety degrees.

I've been playing a lot with swing-sets lately. I tried this shot, but now I am going to try using the vantage point of a ladder. Any tips?

I can't suggest much beyond using a wide-angle lens and shooting from an angle that you think to accurately emulate how swinging feels. I chose the vantage point pictured because I particularly like the absence of ground associated with riding a swing -- so I left out the horizon entirely. I love the idea of shooting from a ladder, though; good luck!
