Thats an amazing Shot! I love how it looks like her feet are dangling into the sky but the cords hanging the other way realize shes reaching for it.

I don't know if I commented on this already...
I like the way you use value and emphasis. The contrast and detail is pretty sweet too. I must say, I never saw a swing photo like this, and the way it goes to the side like that looks really unsafe, especially with the other one going backwards...

With how wide (16mm) this shot is, perspective is unavoidably distorted; the other swing is actually motionless whereas that in which the model is sitting is nearly parallel to the ground. Rotate the shot...um, ninety degrees counter-clockwise and you'll see the angle from which the shot was taken. It's not nearly as daunting, there.
Thanks for the comment!

dizzyy... is that the real sky? the clouds seem so perfect for the zero gravity sort of celestial thing i barely believe it's real

It was lucky timing, really; I was shooting a couple of film assignments for school when a pair of friends found the pictured swingset. I happened to have a digital camera with a wider lens with me and thought I'd try shooting their swinging. The clouds and everything about the photograph that actually works weren't planned.

Roughly one foot from a...spot in which her landing would've made me very uncomfortable.
Otherwise without incident.

I love the perspective on this... it makes me dizy every time I see it. The toning is also great... I'm big B&W photography fan.
