I feel like a loser commenting on this AFTER your DD Congrats on that Derek

I really love this. Its a priceless photo because it had to be AMAZINGLY hard to shoot. This was a rare and special capture, along with most of your other work. You do amazing 'in the moment' photography

And I love his ferociousness

You must have luck all the time. As I was on Skype with `bigdavec last nite, I said to him that you have this incredible talent for always being able to capture a particular moment in your photography. A moment too soon and the shot wouldn't have been...a moment too late, and it was lost. Luck my shiny hiny

Aw -- thanks.

Really, though, it is generally more so luck than not. I think of photography more so as an art of waiting than one of true expression (except for in studio-oriented or otherwise controlled shoots). I was shooting Sheeba (cat) for an hour before this shot was possible and even then was lucky in that she happened to yawn twice in almost immediate succession. I'd otherwise have missed it entirely.
