Hahaha. Excellent signature!

I think that I was looking at it from...ninety degrees counter-clockwise when I shot it. I had a hell of a time choosing a perspective from which it "should" be viewed, though; each seemed to have individual merits.

im no photography critic, but i find that when it comes to writing too - presprectives are just one of those tricky tricky things that you eventually have to settle on.
ill try giving this one some more time though and sorting it out in my head

Thanks! I've found almost saddening removing the ultra wide-angle lens currently affixed to my camera. I'm always surprised by how it "sees" relative to what we're accustomed.

It's like when you look at something really really ineteresting and either don't have your camera with you or you know your camera won't take it.

I need to get a fish-eye and wide-angle one of these days. When I get a better camera though.

SCRAPS?? WHY DEREK??

This is beautiful. The shapes and colors are like a harmony...the trees cradle the angles of the buildings...the buildings hug the sky and embrace the trees. The colors, lighting and composition are breathtaking. WHY is this in scraps? This photo is better than 99% of the deviations on here.

I absolutely love this.

BECAUSE ARGUMENTS REGARDING HOW I WAS TO BE NAMED RESULTED AS SUCH

Thanks for your kind remarks! I may resubmit it as a deviation if I'm unable to reshoot this in a fashion that pleases me more so than does this one.

No worries...but I'd truly hope you'd leave it in your gallery as art, rather than a scrap

Thanks! I'll remove it from my "scraps" if I'm not able to rehoot it to my liking.

It was only a matter of time, I thought, before my shots began to kill others. Thanks for being nevertheless willing to endure the resultant pain.

I want to try to splice a human model with its vegetative, architectural, and atmospheric representatives.

Thanks, though.

*rubs hands together* Okay, firstly, this is awesome, why is it in scraps? I suppose you have your reasons, but really! Come on! What I love about this is the texture, the crazy, crazy building with its crazy shapes and its weird smooth texture! And the clouds! Aahhh the contrasting textures, you'd think that was enough, but then there is that weird tree, with weird flower things.... Really interesting to look at, great shot!

eurai In reply to happyandbleeding [2006-07-24 06:28:44 +0000 UTC]

Glad that you like it -- thanks! I want to reshoot it, though, with a fourth element. If doing so results only in a crappy mockery of this shot then, yeah, I'll move it out of scraps.
