Description

What would it be like if Fairy Tail characters used Pokémon? Here it is! Also, I had trouble with Happy...he's already a Pokémon.
Anyway if you don't like choices I made here, please don't be bashful about it. The Pokémon are paired up based on personalities, appearances and their abilities.

If you DO have any suggestions on Pokémon you think are more fitting, please let me know!
UPDATE: Lucy's Pokémon "Togepi" was changed to the keychain Pokémon. It fits so well.

Here are other anime characters with Pokémon:

Fullmetal Alchemist with Pokémon: evanest.deviantart.com/art/Ful…
Death Note with Pokémon: evanest.deviantart.com/art/Dea…

I think Gray should have Mega Glalie because of the timeskip.
And for Wendy should have her Swablu evolve into Altaria or have a mega Altaria.

Didn't know about Mega Glalie when I did this, or until now. He has a BIG mouth.

She's not THAT strong but I see your point. Thanks again.

I agree with most of them, but here are a few tweaks I'd personally make

Natsu: Mega Charizard Y, primarily for the overwhelming firepower and that devilish grin that is just oh-so-Natsu >D

Gray: Weavile. I just feel like the dark color scheme fits him better. Glalie is a close second, though

Erza: Scizor. Just... Damn. OP, weapons for hands, armor (steel type), wings, and it's scarlet red. So perfect.

Wendy: Togetic. For some reason, I feel like this fits her just a tad better than Altaria. Go figure.

Makarov: Regigigas or Golurk, for their giant properties

I think Mega Charizard X is more suitable than Y because of its typing plus the Timeskip.

Evanest In reply to Ziggoratt999 [2015-04-30 00:20:44 +0000 UTC]

I didn't see Mega Charizard when this came out. Not that much difference.

Weavile is pretty excited for him. And Weavile is known for it's sneakiness. Not that it's a bad choice!

Hmmm, that's a good choice as well, but I choose this pokemon for Erza since it's a WEAPON and ARMOR Pokémon. That's Erza's ability basically.

Hmmm, I can see some similarities. But think about the abilities. Togetic is a flying type that uses togepi's attacks, being star attacks like swift and wish I think. Altaria however is a flying AND dragon type!! Basically air dragon. Sound familiar?

Hmmm,.... you make a good point.

I'll work on a meme for this soon so you can do it! You'll see!

Ziggoratt999 In reply to Evanest [2015-05-02 01:53:02 +0000 UTC]

I just always preferred Mega Charizard Y because it's a bit less rounded. Just a personal preference XD

That's pretty fair on the Weavile point, though. The more I think about it, the more Glalie seems to fit X3

Erza I can understand, but I still prefer Scizor. Just a personal thing, haha.

So, with Wendy, here's my reasoning. Dragon Slayers are the bane of Dragons, right? Well, Togetic and Togekiss are both Fairy Types - the bane of Dragon Types. In other words, Fairy Types are Pokémon's Dragon Slayers. So what's more fitting than a Flying Fairy Type for a Wind Dragon Slayer?

I personally see Erza with Skarmory more than Escavialier

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Evanest In reply to RasenganLucario [2014-05-03 19:23:35 +0000 UTC]

That is a great one for one of her certain armors, but Erza is kinda a jack-of-all-trades and uses MANY armors. Not just that one. This is why something more warrior-like is fitting for her since she has many outfits. Buuuut, I think I might change her's to Skamory. Hope you see my other deviantions.

That's funny, I usually have Charizard as Igneel, and then Natsu as an Arcanine.  Especially if you have the Arcanine with flash fire (takes no damage from fire moves, and fire moves get powered up when he's hit by one), and Moves like Flare Blitz, Outrage and Close Combat (Throwing in extremespeed or crunch for extra demolition)  Totally your call though. ^_^

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

Evanest In reply to Lumfan247 [2014-02-03 16:54:44 +0000 UTC]

I understand, but think about it. Charizard isn't actually a dragon type (Without mega-volving it). Charizard only has the powers of one. Natsu isn't really a dragon, but has the powers of one. Get it?

Hope you seen the other anime with Pokémons in the description.

Lumfan247 In reply to Evanest [2014-02-04 02:00:01 +0000 UTC]

Well yes and no, I mean Charizard for all intents and purposes really is a dragon.  He was just made before they came out with the idea of giving dragon pokemon levitate.  But it's not a *bad* pick by any means for Natsu.  I just thing Arcanine works better

Oh man I was just struck with an amusing idea, what if instead of Markov as Mew, you went with Mavis for Mew, and then have master Hades as Mewtwo.  Ehhhh?  Of course then I don't know which pokemon you'd make Markov a  Regigagas for his big muscley form?

Well, I did see them... but I don't actually watch those anime so... it wasn't quite as relevant to me

Evanest In reply to Lumfan247 [2014-02-04 03:20:14 +0000 UTC]

Mewtwo? Hmm, sounds interesting. I might do it if I'm motivated to do a Fairy Tail with Pokémon 4.

Oh, and lastly I like to use Scizor for my Erza  Just because of the whole Scarlet thing, and Scizor being kind of hax in the first place.

hahaha clever why didn't i think of that

FAIRY type XD and holder of keys, plus Klefki is like a supportive pokemon which is pretty fitting if you ask me

too bad you didn't XD

Evanest In reply to Gearogenix [2014-01-14 05:09:18 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I know, as soon as I saw it, I was like "EUREKA!" I DID ASK YOU...in another dimension. (I'm such an adult.)

I don't really like the Pokémon though. Like, A KEYCHAIN POKEMON! It could work, but the Pokédex entry doesn't make sense and the design is lazy...like all 5th and 6th generation. Though, it's actually one of the few Pokémon that actually looks like a fairy. NONE OF THE 6TH GEN POKEMON LOOK LIKE FAIRIES EXCEPT THE ONES THAT ACTUALLY LOOK LIKE GRASS TYPE!!!!!

Gearogenix In reply to Evanest [2014-01-15 04:51:38 +0000 UTC]

hey i just so happen to appreciate almost all pokemon designs

while gen 5 brought alot of bad pokemon i like basically all the gen 6 designs

and let's be honest here, gen 1 gave us a pokeball, a wack-a-mole that turns into three wack-a-moles, a tadpol that evolves into a buff steroid tadpol, some sort of weird man eating plant with a weird looking mouth, a tongue pokemon, a rock that evolves into a boulder with a snake face, a pile of (bleck) that evolves into a bigger pile of (bleck), and a bunch of eggs that turn into a pineapple tree. Gen 1 isn't all that good

gen 2 gave us the unnecessary baby pokemon that plague gameplay, 26 of the same pokemon, and the pokemon is ultamately useless, a winged snake bug, and a fish that turns into an octopus

gen 3 gave us a mexican duck thing, a punching bag that evolves into a sumo wrestler, a giant nose( which is a pretty nice reference within itself but still looks ugly) a green stomach, two pikachu wannabies that are only good in double battles, a retarded panda, and a heart fish.

lastly gen 4 came with an ugly beaver (which i actually kinda like), a cricket with a mustache, some weird worm with a cute little coat that it never takes off, a skunk with a butt face, the ugly cat, a bee that looks like it's a hive, an inflated tongue pokemon, they upgraded the nose monster, And then threw in furgin pokemon god

my incredibly long comment put short, with all generations comes the good and the bad, i like fairy type, and the grass looking fairy's designed to misslead new players intentionally, and i mean the fairy concept doesn't come from the fact that the pokemon have to look like a fairy cause not really any gen 1-2 or 4-5 gen pokemon looks too much like a fairy, i mean not every pokemon is the type they look like they shoulda been.

...

dang, i talk too much. but anywho i just wish there was a pokemon to better represent Lucy.

Evanest In reply to Gearogenix [2014-01-15 06:06:01 +0000 UTC]

I think you critized the Pokémon franchise way more than I did with that last comment.

Though, I kinda agree with you. I think that the designs for the first 3 regions were very creative. Even the bad ones were somewhat good. Gen 4 was also kinda good, but had a lot more "repeats" than the last. Though still good. Though gen 2 did use a bunch of baby Pokémon and other evolutions. It's because gen 2 is actually more of a gen of leftover Pokémon for gen 1 that didn't fit in because it could only fit 155 Pokémon in there. Which is why I think gen 2 may have been the most disappointing actually. (I hate it when people say "THERE ARE ONLY 150 TRUE POKEMON!!!". Also, the tongue pokemon is in gen 3, not gen 4.)

Though, what I was saying is that gen 5 and 6 lacked good design to me, and a lot of people. The concepts were actually good sometimes, but then there were style choices that made them look a bit weird to some. I mean gen 1 had an oldish anime style, gen 2 had a cuter style than the last, gen 3 had a somewhat "advance" style, gen 4 had a quirky style, gen 5 had really quirky style and gen 6 was the same as gen 5 to me.

Gen 6 does have a lot of cool designs if you ask me, I could name a handful, but there were a lot in gen 5 and 6 that I think were just plain out stupid. Now, there HAS been lots of bad designed Pokémon since generation 1 though. There are lots of them in Pokémon. I think what really made people mad is that the style of it is changing through time....and there are too many nostalgia idiots.

Evanest In reply to Gearogenix [2014-01-16 17:22:19 +0000 UTC]

Well, to be fair, Pokémon has been losing creativity. Though, the fact they've been able to make over 500 Pokemon shows how great they are. Yes, Lickitongue is 3rd gen. You put it in 4th gen though. His/her evolution is 4th gen. I think Pokémon screwed up when they made 4th gen. I mean even if you think all the Pokémon were great, they still messed up a bit with the legendaries. They put WAY too many legendaries into the 4th gen and lost some creativity for the next gen. Gen 3 had a lot too, but only because of the Regi's. When gen 4 ended, people were like "I've got time, space, dimension and wisedom/emotion/will and now GOD....now what?" I am impressed they have made a few interesting legendaries. They made Yin and Yang  in the 5th gen, along with the Wuji Pokémon, Kyurem. (Wuji is the absence of Yin and Yang.) I thought of them like light and darkness though, which I knew Nintendo would do. Or old and new. Yin and yang can be almost any opposites really.

Then in the 6th gen, they made Pokémon based on the 3d dimension which sense since it was the first core 3d game *Pokémon Coliseum and Pokémon XD were great*.  The 2 main legendaries were Life and Death though. Pokémon Z, which is already in the 2 games, is more just the scavenger as of now. Though aside from the main legendaries, I don't think the other legendaries in 5th and 6th gen have any real interesting creativity. The victory Pokémon was interesting though. Well, ok I thought gen 5 had a lot of interesting Legendaries actually. Just not Pokémon that represented something cool like the first 4 did.

Another big problem in gen 4 was the evolutions. When they released the 4th gen, after a while, they introduced a whole new set of cool looking evolutions. That was ok I guess. I just think they should have saved it for the 5th gen. Though what's weird is after Nintendo did this, they never made anymore new Pokémon from other evolutions ever again. Look at the 5th gen and 6th gen Pokémon. There aren't any Pokémon that are evolving into of from previous Pokémon (With the exception of Slyveon, but that was more a teaser for fairy type and more Eevee Pokemon). I guess Nintendo thought it was annoying doing that or something. Not that this is a bad thing, just something worth pondering.

God, Pokémon can really make people talk a lot!

lickingtongue is 1st gen his evolution lickylicky i know is 4th

(didn't know that wuji thing) funny cause it's like gray

i dunno i like almost all pokemon cause when people talk

about how bad the new generation pokemon are

i only think about the ones i like when they mention the

generations cause from every gen there's gotta be at least

one pokemon  that you don't hate. i personally was incredibly

disappointed that they decided not to give any pokemon who

needed evolutions any but there are alot of hidden things in the

games hinting to having a new game with even more pokemon,

the main issue to me isn't the fact that they're running out of

ideas or something but rather all the ideas they're coming

up with are rather redundant, instead of constantly making

more new pokemon for people to hate (which they eased up

on by making very little for this generation) they should take

the time to refine pokemon like sunflora, dunsparce and all

the other inferior pokemon that everybody looks down on.

I really hate how they make alot of new unnecessarily powerful

pokemon now and don't bother to make pokemon who need it to

be stronger. I hate it when people base their opinion of a pokemon

off their stats rather than their design which matters more, but

vice-versa is still the same, i hate when people down on ugly pokemon

because of their design cause they can have useful moves.

(not sure if anything i said is related but i just felt like saying it)

when you think about it, yin and yang, and life and death, are a huge stepback

from time space and god. But the god pokemon was a very unnecessary step

anywho yes, you are right, it does bring up a good discussion

why is lucy Togepi?

Evanest In reply to Gearogenix [2014-01-12 20:32:53 +0000 UTC]

Because Togepi uses metronome, which uses lot's of different attacks, which fit Lucy because she uses many different attacks. Plus they're both cute. If you have a better Pokémon in mind, let me know.

nah that's basically perfect by that logic, but maybe Clefairy? cause clefairy's the star pokemon which is like a space thing kinda like celestal stuff, and it can also learn metronome

Clefairy is the Moon Pokémon and I think moon and stars wouldn't exactly interpret what the Zodiacs do. You know what, I'll look again for her Pokémon. Even I don't know what the hell would fit her.

(I choose Lucy's to be a Togepi because she doesn't actually do too much of the work...and Togepi's are known for using many attacks because of Metronome. Lucy fits in with that ability...and they're both cute.)
