When Shadow is mumbling nonsense to himself in the chaotix's office, it's pretty clear that Sonic, in the stress of just becoming a ghost, has possessed him. You see him approaching Shadow and then Shadow falling in the flashbacks in the issue before as well.Β

To be quite honest, this is progress compared to how the protagonists have been overshadowed (pun) by the villains. Please try to avoid "Darkness-Induced Audience Apathy" as much as possible. It's in the YMMV Page of GOTF at TV Tropes. The bad guys need to be formidable, yes, but we were beginning to think that the heroes were getting trounced indefinitely. It needs to be balanced.

A funny thing I noticed is that When sonic possessed silver his eyes where green and when he possessed Shadow it was blue. Funny that

Ah, they're still green-- it's just with the way I'm handling Sonic's coloring they look very close to blue. I think on the next page I made it a little more clear.
