The nanities have always been a part of Shadow-- thats what makes him basically immortal. To paraphrase Nicole earlier, they can grind the ageing process to a standstill. However, Nichole has only just now started using them again to manipulate Shadow. No idea why she hasn't done it again sooner. Perhaps she simply lost track of him.Β
