Ghosts of the Future, issue 16 Page 9.We can't keep doing this, Shadow.
Okida : Ladies and gentlemen, after two centuries of complex mental issues, Shadow deals with his problems in what might be considered a unique way - by stealing all your candles during the night. Don't judge him. You don't know what he's been through (well actually if you've been paying attention up till now, you kinda do - so I guess you can judge).

The last time Sonic and Shadow borrowed something (ice cream from the freezer, that one's my favorite issue) they accidentally summoned a monster that wrecked the house, so Silver has the right to be worried.

Welll if I go back a few pages the day of the dead altar they saw in church was covered in candles. Perhaps Shadow is remembering some old friends. I mean.... he just saw two as statues.
