Ghosts of the Future, Issue 17 Page 14!How many rapid-fire ghost jokes can I write? The answer is yes. I Am Prepared.
(Also sorry the page was late I had intense crunch time finishing the line art and cover for IDW Sonic #8. It's gonna be neat, pick it up when it comes out!)
Okida : I'd make a comment about Evan being late, but I feel like that would be tempting fate and then I'd see her disappear into the Bermuda triangle or something. Well in any case, Sonic meets Sonic. And Sonic ain't got no time for dat!

Huh? That’s a really interesting point since STC is a different universe from the game universe that GOTF mostly takes place in.

Or it could be depending on the Sonic! Since there’s a difference between Super Sonic, Evil Super Sonic, and Dark Sonic. Although in STC a different Emerald did effect Chaos differently, maybe it depends on both the Emeralds and which Sonic uses either them.

And don’t forget that in Sonic X, the seven main emeralds turned him Super and the 500 fake ones turned him Dark. That could be a possibility.

Okay. I need to know - how do you guys draw this stuff? What tools do you use?
This comic series looks flipping gorgeous! And the lighting, the texture, just...wow...this looks absolutely stunning. Not even the Archie Comics can make their art look this good (not dissing them, I loved the Archie Comics, I just prefer this design and story telling; no one is wrong if they disagree). I mean, just look at their expressions here, they're not even the best ones FROM this series and they're still so...emotive. Alive.
Just this...all of THIS is gorgeous. Each page is magnificent~! <3

I do all of the art myself, in Photoshop CC controlled with a Wacom Cintiq display. I'm mostly self-taught when it comes to digital art, but I have extensive traditional art training-- I just graduated this spring from San Jose State with a Bachelor's in animation and illustration. Most of what I'm doin' on GOTF is just old-fashioned drawing and painting, no tricks. I used to work on paper, then use the free demo version of photoshop that came with my old tablet.
I also work on the official Archie and IDW books, though I'm usually just doing line art there. They've got to work at a very fast pace, and create art that can be printed easily; there's rarely time for revisions or extra polish. With GOTF I can take all the time I want, and put some extra TLC into every page, which is a great thing to be able to do.

yes there are two Archie Sonics
Pre-SGW that focus of Satam, War, and death in Mobius against Robotnik's Rule all over Mobius and was taken in a serious tone with fewer game elements
Post-SGW that forces more on the Games with Satam and AoSth events that happen with callbacks from the Games and a reboot of the Freedom Fighters and Eggman has no control of the Planet, they don't call it Mobius no more. (without the 06)

This probably makes more sense for people who read Okidas comic, and what he does with chaos energy in this universe.
Also this sonic is his normal self, with the attitude and everything..... he hasn't had all his friends and loves one get killed then live 100 years yet. SO of course they are different....
I wish the games did this idea, two Sonics that actually talk and have differing personalities a bit. Be funny.... instead of modern Sonic talking at old sonic and he just nods or something.
