Ghosts of the Future, Issue 17 Page 14!How many rapid-fire ghost jokes can I write? The answer is yes. I Am Prepared.
(Also sorry the page was late I had intense crunch time finishing the line art and cover for IDW Sonic #8. It's gonna be neat, pick it up when it comes out!)
Okida : I'd make a comment about Evan being late, but I feel like that would be tempting fate and then I'd see her disappear into the Bermuda triangle or something. Well in any case, Sonic meets Sonic. And Sonic ain't got no time for dat!

Foreign Chaos Emeralds?! These guys have Chaos Emeralds of their own?!
But... HOW?!
I mean, I know Chaos Energy can essentially ignore the dimensional barriers, but all of the Chaos Emeralds are in Special Zones right now, barring the ones GOTF's Sonic and friends have collected.
The only way this could be possible is if Tails missed a few worlds when he joined all the Chaos Emeralds together over two hundred years ago... or everyone died before that event took place in your version of the story. Or it simply didn't happen I guess. This is a fan work, so it doesn't necessarily need to follow canon.

I think you're referring to Archie's Tails? Yeah, I didn't take that event into consideration when I came up with the plot of GOTF. The GOTF-verse is based primarily on game canon, with a side of comic book material sprinkled in.
The setup here is as such: Every universe has their own set of Chaos Emeralds, or Chaos Emerald-equivalent power. For example, the Sol Universe from Sonic Rush has the Sol Emeralds, and Moebius has Anarchy Beryl. The foreign Emeralds Kintobor mentioned are two from the Ghosts of the Future-verse, as opposed to the set from his universe, the Sonic the Comic-verse. The GOTF-verse's Emeralds have been scattered across time and space, and two of them have found their way into the hands of the STC-verse's Dr.Robotnik before GOTF Sonic and co. could find them.

the two emeralds inside the ROCC right now are the final two emeralds of the GOTF set. The other emeralds the STC characters are referring to are the chaos emeralds from their own universe.

Hmmmmmm.... I wonder what will happen? Sonic ( the one who is alive ) specifically said to Kintobor that he knows what will happen if he is exposed to chaos energy. I'm guessing this might make for an interesting plot device. B3333

litterally my only nitpick about this is Fleetway!Sonic’s choice of “an” rather than “a” in “that’s an R.O.C.C” because it goes against proper grammar but he’s also lazy and probably didn’t pay attention in class so it’s not something that really bugs me

(Seriously, though. This comic is the reason why I have a volunteer job. Without the inspiration from this comic, I never would've started making my own art, and therefore never would've discovered my skill. This was a big enough part of my life change that I made a drawing for Evan Stanley)
