Ghosts of the Future, Issue 17 Page 20.People trapped in this machine:
-Shadow the Hedgehog
-Rouge the Bat
-E-123 Omega
-Tikal the Echidna
Okida : In that moment, as a future version of himself passed through his body. A younger Sonic got to see all that was in store for him. He saw it all. Everything. 06, Shadow the hedgehog, even the upcoming movie. Faced with such a future before him his brain did the only thing it could do. It shut itself down and he died on the spot.

Clearly StC Sonic is worried that if GOTF Sonic comes in contact with the emeralds he'll turn into Fleetway. But these aren't the same "Evil/Negative" energy chaos emeralds from his world

True, but he doesn't have experience with Emeralds from any other universe besides his own-- it's natural for him to assume they'd operate the same way his do.

Oh yeah its completely understandable why he would think that. I'm actually excited to see his reaction to a possible "Normal" Super Sonic or at least how these emeralds function. Although that all depends on how he recovers from having his alternate universe counterpart go through his body, another thing to consider is that GOTF Sonic is basically made of Chaos Energy
