Issue 8, Page 7.Poor Sonic. He looks like a confused puppy.
So... Many... Words...! I think this is my wordiest page ever. But they are important words! I tried to slip a little bit of recap in on the main plot just as a refresher, as well as move Silver's character forward. Doesn't sound too bad to me. Also, I promise this is the wordiest page in the issue. You won't have to deal with anything this bad again for a while. Now issue 9? That's a different story. But you don't need to worry about that!

Silver has a point, but at the same time, he's forsaking his job. Not only that, but I get the feeling Sonic can't pass on into the afterlife until the Chaos Emeralds are restored (I somehow doubt he wants to remain their guardian forever. He could pass that job onto Shadow...Who I think would be better at the job. I haven't forgotten when Sonic panicked in the special zone XD).
I feel bad for both of them.

...I get the feeling that either Sonic or Shadow are going to explode in the near future (I wanna say Sonic, but Shadow has a temper.....) and that Silver might just figure out exactly what happened 200 years ago.....or maybe I'm just dead off and I got it wrong and now I'm rambling because....yeah....so, anyway, YAY UPDATE!!! I'm new to de awesomist that is this comic, but I absolutely LOVE it so far!!!

This page is very wordy, but every sentence is significant and important. The dialogue really brings out Silver's frustrations as well as Sonic's slight confusion and determination trying to get Silver to help him. Me likey~ The expressions are as great as always. o3o

2nd:You should have someone kidnap Blaze and Sonic decides to go alone to find the emeralds and he finds out and then he has to explain everything to blaze and then it's all peachy...Until they fight eggman's great great great great grandson!

Would you laugh if I said Sonic in the last panel makes me see him more as a sad Chao who lost his pom-pom? 
But yeah, Silver is under a lot of strain and he's only venting his feelings in justified whining...? Sometimes, no matter how well a person present themselves with either their choice of words, tone of voice or overall emotion, they will end up sounding like they're whining whether they like it or not. Silver is just a kid after all, but "With great powers comes responsibility." and though he doesn't seem to acknowledge that yet, being so emotionally strung due to his teetering relationship with Blaze, I wonder how well this chapter is going to resolve itself...
I think part of the problem here is that Sonic somewhat 'embraced' the role with free will and determination, while Shadow accepted it because it was what he was MADE for. Silver? He was minding his own business and living his normal, merry life, when suddenly these two invaded his dreams and then pulled the rug from under him, and he woke up in the desert wearing a skirt... 
I feel like I don't have anything more worthwhile to say, all I'm getting from this chapter so far are speculations and tangent thoughts, so I dunno if this comment counts for eveything. That doesn't change the fact that I still love the tones and contrast here, you really make Sonic's ghost-blue stand out in the bleached tones of gray~ ♪
