Issue 9, page 4Boy, has this been a long time coming. Finally, let me introduce GOTF Nicole. Clearly, she's a wee bit different from her Archie Comics counterpart. I've been planning to have her in the comic for years, almost from the very beginning. Hopefully she'll make a good antagonist.

Is N.I.C.O.L.E.'s haloghraphic form made of nanites or something else intirly? I know from shadow's profille that you've included some form of nanites but i was just wondering if you've decided to use them with N.I.C.O.L.E.

Nicole's Archie counterpart uses Nanites to make up her holographic Mobion form. The "poisonous liquid" could be Nanites, but they don't look very digital to me...maybe something else...(to build up a theory it looks like what same substance that makes up Chaos the chaotic chao, from Sonic Adventure, so it might have something to do with Chaos emeralds)

Yes but a fact about the ark during a ark stage on shadow the hedgehog ps2 if you barely touched this green liquid you would die because of poisoning

This might not be the same Nicole you know and love(NICOLE in Archie was made by a possible future counterpart to Rotor, this one was made by someone in Robotnik/Eggman's family)

Hey Evan, if you're not too busy, you think you can fill me in on how you get the effect on Metal's eyes? I'm coloring up a piece with a robot character and I'm having trouble with his eyes, they're similar to Metal's here.

Sure it's really easy. All it is is super-bright red painted onto a layer above the black area of the eye (I used the second type of default hard brush in CS4's drop down menu, I don't know it's name...). I erase as needed, and slap a little more red on a "hard light" layer on top of everything with a low-opacity airbrush.

Oh, also I'm not sure exactly which brush you are talking about, simply because I'm using CS3, not sure if that brush is in my version.

I used the "airbrush pen opacity flow" brush. It appears in the default brushes. Sorry for the late reply, you probably figured it out by now.

Oh it's fine, and not entirely sure either, my guess it's similar to a soft round brush? Because me and a friend of mine looked it over and in the CS3 default brushes, there are air brushes, but they don't specifically have that name, so I just assume it was similar, and then you just use pressure sensitivity when altering the opacity I guessing, which SHOULD give me the same effect hopefully.

Yeah, something like that should work. It dosen't have sort edges like most airbrushes though.

Ooooh, okay, so do you have a layer with the base color of the eyes? Like, with a more muted color than the super bright red? Or do you go straight to the bright red and paint?

nope, it's all done with bright red. The brush I use allows for very subtle variation of the opacity on the fly.

This definetly not the same Nicole from the Archie series. I'm interested to see how this pans out. Keep up the good work!
I'm also going to assume the green goo is nanites, but then again, you could have decided not to include them.
Of course, if they are nanites, that could explain why the ark is underground. Surely, the entire structure could be a reconstruction from the nanites. It probably isn't the real ARK because that would be pretty hard to cover up, and its not like shadow and sonic skipped the 200 year period, they would have heard about. And perhaps Nicole is head of the company, and has eagerly been awaiting metal sonic to return to her so she could enact her evil plan to DESTROY Sonic and shadow, and revive Eggman with the Chaos Emeralds they collected!!!
Or I could be completely wrong. Only time will tell.
