Description ** Updated 7/18/12 **
Hopefully simplified/easier to understand setup process
Added two images to skins folder to help visualize the setup

An illustro adaptation of Orbmu2k's Intel Core Series and GPUObserver Windows Gadgets.

I used and referenced his gadgets regularly, but after the Windows Gadgets vulnerability and Microsoft's "fix" being to disable gadgets completely, I had trouble finding a replacement.

Requires OpenHardwareMonitor. I chose this route because I'm a gamer and I use ENB graphic modifications on some games and I've found OpenHardwareMonitor to work perfectly and not cause me to look for workarounds when using programs like MSI Afterburner.

Setup instructions are in the readme.txt file and in the skin .ini files in your Documents/Rainmeter/Skins/illustrogadgets folder

Some not so apparent features of these skins:

* CPU and GPU Temps will turn Red when they exceed a value that you can set
* Memory usage bars for system RAM and GPU's will turn Orange when they exceed values that you can set

Crashes rainmeter, pity cause it looks good here - to those stuck in the same situation simply goto My Documents>Rainmeter>Skins and delete the illustrogadgertsv3 folder

Just go to your Documents and Rainmeter folder and delete the illustrogadgets folder and restart rainmeter. should work

Thank you for this! And its great that you use OHM as not everyone can use MSI Afterburner.

I'd like to ask you to consider adding Rainmeter Top Processes plugin to this setup. It's pretty handy to see the top process that are consuming CPU and RAM.

Hardware Monitor doesn't seem to have a way to display Temps and FPS in-game.

What is the problem exactly you're having with MSI Afterburner and ENB Graphics mods? You shouldn't even remotely be getting issues unless you're using the overlay features or -maybe- 2D/3D Mode detection for profile switching.

Just disable everything you don't need and it should work. I'd personally prefer to see this in an MSI Afterburner version as well.

please use Afterburner as illustro does. that OpenHardwareMonitor is the shit, we can't make anything right. so pls. use afterburner and post again.

thx a lot.

Hey, this might be a little off-topic but what do you use to monitor your GPU temps in-game, since you dont use Afterburner?

same problem here, dll set, OHM running, ini configured = 0 Values.
My guess is, that OHM is not supporting new hardware correctly. I have an i7 3770k running with a GTX670 GPU. Strange thing is, OHM reads the GPU perfectly and CPU too except for CPU speeds (9337 to 16339 Mhz, lol).

For some reason I get all zeros for GPU and CPU stats. The only value that updates is RAM usage. I unzipped the rmskin file and put the OHM plugin dll into the Program Files\Rainmeter\Plugins folder. I then went through and renamed all of the variables to match what I saw in the OHM program. Am I missing something else? I tried restarting my system, but that made no difference. I even had OHM running at the same time and it didn't make a difference. Please advise.

Well, you definitely do need OHM running all the time for these gadgets to work.

Did you make sure to put the right dll? There's a 32bit (x32 folder) and a 64bit one (x64 folder).

If you did put the right one, can you zip up your .ini files and along with a screenshot of your OpenHardwareMonitor sensors and I'll check it out.

i like it!!
only 2 things: at the moment i can't move cpu stats and the bars @1 px instead of 8 would fit more to the other gadgets

Not sure what you mean by can't move CPU Stats, but I updated the gadgets per your suggestion, new package ready for download.
