Description This is a prototype design sheet for The Dazzlings as they appear in my Equestria Girls fan-fiction series I am working on. It's still a work in progress and is subject to changes and revision, and I will be releasing bits and peices of information with each entry before I move onto the real thing. You can read more about what I have so far by following the links listed at the bottom of the image description, and it's reccomended to read them in order.

THE FAN-SERIES
I am in the process of writing a road-map and world building for a fan-fiction series of Equestria Girls. Basically, I am writing it like a television series which acts as a sequel to where the original left off, made-up of 2 series', comprised of 5 seasons each, and each season consisting of at least 26 episodes, with a movie serving as the finale. It will be written in the style and tone of the actual show. It's basically what I would do if I was the writer for the actual Equestria Girls series. I do not actually plan on writing full episodes, as that would take too much time and effort, but I may produce a few scripts for some episodes. Instead I write my fan-series in an episodic, synopsis style which details events.

BACKSTORY
As Sirens, The Dazzlings are immortal, and are over 1000 years old, having been banished to the Human world by the Equestrian version of Starswirl the Bearded roughly 1000 years ago. The three Sirens, under Adagio's leadership, have survived since then, learning many skills and witnessing and sometimes taking part in many historical events throughout history. They have a secret lair somewhere underground in the wilderness, hidden by magical enchantments and protected by wards, which is filled with loot, resources and provisions the Dazzlings have gathered over the centuries. They have other lairs scattered around the world, but some have been lost or looted, and some have simply been abandoned or forgotten by the Dazzlings, with some of them being sealed for centuries.

Adagio has a throne, her favourite piece of loot, which she has had in her possession for centuries, which she typically sits upon when plotting and scheming in her lair. Adagio makes her Sisters sit on the bottom step of the small set of stairs which her throne sits atop while they formulate their plans.

The Dazzlings are currently on the Most Wanted List of the Technological Consortium, a secret, global organization which safeguards Humanity from magical, paranormal and technological threats. So far the Dazzlings have managed to evade their attempts at capture and containment, and their main lair has gone undiscovered by intruders for now.

Umbral Pendants
In my series, the Dazzlings red crystal pendants are revealed to be made of Umbral Crystal, also known as Shadow Crystal, a type of condensed negative magic from the Umbral Plane, the plane of darkness and negativity. When incorporated into a magical item, Umbral Crystal can bestow benefits on the holder, depending on what powers the creator bestowed upon it, and must be constantly fed negative energy to function. The Dazzlings Equestrian magic does not work in the Human world without a focus to stabilize it, just like how the Rainbooms Geodes allow them to use Equestrian Magic in the Human World, and how Princess Twilight's crown served as a focus for the Element of Magic.

The Dazzlings had Umbral Crystals in Equestria which allowed them to boost their power, but with those destroyed in Rainbow Rocks, they have been forced to replace them. These pendants were enchanted to grant them the ability to fuel their Siren powers with negative energy instead of raw magic, as well as boost their powers beyond their normal potential. As long as the pendants are powered, they will allow the Dazzlings to use their magic and boost their power. The Sirens hive-mind ability which allows them to perfectly synchronize with each other is also fuelled by their pendants. Umbral Crystal has a corrupting influence on Mortals, as it is literally made of physical negativity, causing those who remain exposed to it to twist to darkness and negativity, an example of this happening is the Alicorn Amulet on Trixie.

In season 1 of my series, without their Umbral Pendants, having been destroyed at the end of Rainbow Rocks, the Sirens have reverted back to Human-world Siren forms, having previously relied on the power of their pendants to suppress their monstrous nature. In the absence of their Umbral Pendants, the Dazzlings have acquired Illusionary Pendants as temporary replacements, from their long-time ally - Hydia the Witch, a returning G1 Character. These pendants, when powered, cause onlookers to see them as Human-beings, rather than the creatures they actually are, though with magic someone can see through the illusion.

IN THE FAN-SERIES
In my series the Dazzlings will be one of the most recurring antagonists for the first series.(seasons 1-5) In series 2, they will have ceased there evil ways and become friends with the Rainbooms. Below are some details of several points of interest.

Season 1
The Dazzlings are recurring antagonists throughout the first series, appearing as early as a few episodes into the first season. Their episodes will usually revolve around them trying to acquire magic to recharge their Illusionary Pendants, magical items, or generating negative energy from Humans by tricking them into conflict with each other so they can harvest the negative energy to repair their Umbral Pendants.

Season 2
In season 2 The Sirens will mostly focus on them following new leads on components for the repair of their pendants, with a revenge plot or two here and there. Towards the end of the season, they have repaired their pendants and are back to their old selves.

Season 4
The Dazzlings continue to torment the Rainbooms with their schemes throughout the season, but at the end of season 4 The Dazzlings will be recruited by the main enemy of the season – a powerful Spirit Monarch of Greed, who gains the help of the Dazzlings in opening a gateway to the Spirit Plane that is capable of allowing a Spirit as powerful as them to pass through, leading to the final boss fight of the season.

Season 5
The Season 5 multi-part premier involves an international music festival and competition, which the Dazzlings participate in. They team up with Dr. Ahuizotl and his organization – RELIC, as part of a scheme composed by Adagio to brainwash millions of people across the world when their Siren Song is broadcast world-wide in the finals. Ahuiozotl agrees to lend his resources to the Dazzlings, but little does he know that Adagio intends to betray him at the climax of their plan.

The scheme fails when the Consortium loans an artefact to the Rainbooms which will nullify their Siren song, and the Dazzlings are defeated. The Rainbooms try to forgive the Dazzlings and offer them friendship, but it backfires when Adagio feigns interest just to get close to them so she can destroy the artefact, and in the confusion the Dazzlings escape. The Consortium is furious at the loss of their artefact and the Dazzlings, and try to arrest the Rainbooms, prompting the Rainbooms to go on the run as they try to fix their mistake and make peace with the Consortium, as part of what I call the "World Tour" arc, which lasts the entire season.

The Rainbooms track the Dazzlings down to their lair and eventually defeat them, forcing them to abandon their lair with the help of Equestrian Starswirl the Bearded. After losing their lair, the Dazzlings split up after falling out with each other. The Rainbooms will encounter them one by one as they find them enacting solo schemes, and Aria and Sonata accept the Rainbooms Friendship and join them on their travels after their schemes are foiled. Adagio on the other hand rejects Friendship, and is eventually found by Dr. Ahuizotl who tries to exact his revenge on her for betraying him earlier, but the main enemy of Season 5 – The Lord of Darkness, interferes and recruits them both to join his Army of Darkness as part of his plan to conquer both the Human world and Equestria.

At the conclusion of the multi-part Season 5 finale, Adagio is thwarted once and for all when her new Master and his Army of Darkness are defeated, finally convinced to give up her evil ways and reuniting with her Sisters, who forgive her. The Consortium confiscates their lair however but the Dazzlings are allowed to integrate into Human society when the Consortium's Leader clears both the Dazzlings and the Rainbooms of their past crimes at the request of the Twilight Sparkle.

Season 6+(Series 2)
After the events of the Season 5 multi-part finale, the Dazzlings finally give up their evil ways and are allowed to integrate into society. Their lair was confiscated from them while the Consortium catalogues its contents and returns the Dazzlings loot to where it rightfully belongs. The Dazzlings move into a new house a few episodes into season 6. From this point on we'll see more slice of life from the Dazzlings, but also more casual delves into their past, including a fun episode I had planned where they reminisce about their favourite decades from the past century, with flashbacks and cameos from younger versions of other characters.
