Description
This is a design sheet for the Human world counterpart of Starlight Glimmer, or "Human Glimmer, for distinction, as they appear in my Equestria Girls fan-fiction series I am working on. It's still a work in progress and is subject to changes and revision, and I will be releasing bits and pieces of information with each entry before I move onto the real thing. You can read more about what I have so far by following the links listed at the bottom of the image description, and it's recommended to read them in order.

They are members of a secret global organization known as the Technological Consortium, which has been safeguarding Humanity from various magical, supernatural and technological threats for centuries.

THE FAN-SERIES
I am in the process of writing a road-map and world building for a fan-fiction series of Equestria Girls. Basically, I am writing it like a television series which acts as a sequel to where the original left off, made-up of 2 series', comprised of 5 seasons each, and each season consisting of at least 26 episodes, with a movie serving as the finale. It will be written in the style and tone of the actual show. It's basically what I would do if I was the writer for the actual Equestria Girls series. I do not actually plan on writing full episodes, as that would take too much time and effort, but I may produce a few scripts for some episodes. Instead I write my fan-series in an episodic, synopsis style which details events.

BACKSTORY
Starlight Glimmer as an orphan, along with Human Shimmer, Sour Sweet and Indigo Zap, and the four of them grew up together at the same orphanage, becoming best Friends and forming an unbreakable bond. They are more than Friends, they are like family. The orphanage they were raised in was acquired by the Consortium and they were selected for adoption when they all showed qualities the Consortium was interested in. They were all enrolled at Crystal Prep Academy to receive education and some training, and later inducted into the Consortium in their early teens and trained in-full.

PERSONALITY
Starlight Glimmer is a very learned and inquisitive person, always looking for answers and trying to learn more. Although she enjoys the company of friends, she loves nothing more than relaxing in solitude, poring over books and computer data, ever expanding her knowledge. She can often be found in a dimly lit library reading well into the evening. Starlight is also a very neat, tidy and ordered person, obsessing somewhat about keeping everything tidy, in it's place and how it should be, and is dead serious about being punctual, adhering to strict time-tables in almost everything. She believes in meritocracy, and that everyone deserves an equal chance to prove themselves or the opportunity to find their place. A persons position, wealth, resources or connections should have no bearing on whether or not they should get their chance.

CASUAL ATTIRE
When off-duty, Starlight Glimmer prefers to dress smartly, and tends to have a sophisticated and learned look to her. It might also be obvious to some who look at how she dresses that she is a very organized and orderly person.

BASE UNIFORM
The standard uniform of Consortium members when stationed within one of their bases.

OPERATIONS
Operatives typically wear something like this when on a mission that does not involve being in disguise or hiding in plain sight. The insignia on the left arm signifies the operatives speciality and role, and in Starlight Glimmers case, she is a Magic specialist, trained to use and defend against magic and the supernatural.

CLASS: MAGIC
Starlight Glimmers role is that of magic and paranormal expert. She is the one her team relies on for expertise on magic, supernatural beings, paranormal phenomena, and so on, and is the only member of her team trained in the use of and authorized to use magic. Some of the first abilities a Magic Operative learns are those of magical detection, such as the aptly named "Detect Magic" charm which allows them to sense nearby magic, "Mage Sight" which allows them to see hidden magical energies and entities, and "Aura Sight" which allows the operative to see the aura of living beings, also known as a "Nimbus", which is different depending on the person and what they are. A normal person, a Vampire and a Wizard, for example, all have tell-tale signs in their aura and are a sort of magical identification. I will explain how magic works in the Human world in a later instalment.

VIRTUE: WONDER
In Season 4, 10 members of the Consortium gain "Virtues", which are the Consortium's versions of the Elements of Harmony, which they will use to help the Rainbooms defeat a powerful Enemy at the end of Season 4. Starlight's Virtue is Wonder, granting her magical power derived from her belief and pursuit and understanding of higher concepts, powers and mysteries, as well as contemplation of the abstract nature of the cosmos. It is believed by some that "Wonder" and "Magic" go hand-in-hand.

IN THE FAN-SERIES
In my fan-series, Human Starlight Glimmer is Human Sunset Shimmers best friend, and is one of the few people to make Sunset smile. The two grew up together, along with Sour Sweet and Indigo Zap, and all four are very close. The reason they are so close is because they were all orphans at the same orphanage, which was purchased by the Consortium to raise potential new recruits. The four consider each other and the Consortium their family now. In this world, Starlight never met Sunburst, which will help emphasize that things sometimes turn out very differently for certain characters compared to their Equestrian counterparts.

She becomes good Friends with Moon Dancer after she joins the Consortium after the events of the Season 1 two-part finale. They both enjoy performing research together and just hanging out in the library, whether studying or just reading for fun.

THE TECHNOLOGICAL CONSORTIUM
The primary recurring antagonists of Series 1, turned Allies in series 2, with a strong presence in every season. The Technological Consortium, or just "The Consortium" for short, is a secret global organization which runs most of what goes on in the world from behind the scenes. They investigate, hunt, and police the mystical and supernatural elements of the world, but they also deal with other threats like Rogue Scientists, AI's, Super Villains, Aliens, dangerous technology and other dangerous elements and natural or unnatural, disasters. Think of the Consortium as a combination of The Men in Black, the SCP Foundation and the Technocratic Union from Mage: The Ascension. Members are often referred to as "Techs" by outsiders, such as the Rainbooms.

The Technological Consortium is lead by it's supreme and enigmatic leader, from a position known as "The Supreme Scientist", who is said to always be the most intelligent and wise Person of their time.

In my series, the Consortium will frequently be at odds with the Rainbooms and Equestria, who they see as rogue elements and potential threats. The Consortium has been watching the Rainbooms for quite some time, and have been assisting them from behind the scenes in hopes that the Equestrian problem will resolve itself, while taking steps to perform damage control or commit resources to backup plans should the Rainbooms fail. For example, they were prepared to step in during the initial Sunset Shimmer and Midnight Sparkle incidents before those things resolved themselves. Sometimes their assistance was absolutely necessary, such as during the Sirens incident, where they sent one of their young operatives, Vinyl Scratch, to free the Rainbooms and provide them with aid against The Dazzlings. Did you think Vinyl Scratch just so happened to show up with a giant transforming sound-stage equipped car...?
