Description This is a design sheet for Indigo Zap as they appear in my Equestria Girls fan-fiction series I am working on. It's still a work in progress and is subject to changes and revision, and I will be releasing bits and pieces of information with each entry before I move onto the real thing. You can read more about what I have so far by following the links listed at the bottom of the image description, and it's reccomended to read them in order.

They are members of a secret global organization known as the Technological Consortium, which has been safeguarding Humanity from various magical, supernatural and technological threats for centuries.

THE FAN-SERIES
I am in the process of writing a road-map and world building for a fan-fiction series of Equestria Girls. Basically, I am writing it like a television series which acts as a sequel to where the original left off, made-up of 2 series', comprised of 5 seasons each, and each season consisting of at least 26 episodes, with a movie serving as the finale. It will be written in the style and tone of the actual show. It's basically what I would do if I was the writer for the actual Equestria Girls series. I do not actually plan on writing full episodes, as that would take too much time and effort, but I may produce a few scripts for some episodes. Instead I write my fan-series in an episodic, synopsis style which details events.

BACKSTORY
Indigo Zap is an orphan, along with Human Shimmer, Sour Sweet and Starlight Glimmer, and the four of them grew up together at the same orphanage, becoming best Friends and forming an unbreakable bond. They are more than Friends, they are like family. The orphanage they were raised in was acquired by the Consortium and they were selected for adoption when they all showed qualities the Consortium was interested in. They were all enrolled at Crystal Prep Academy to receive education and some training, and later inducted into the Consortium in their early teens and trained in-full.

PERSONALITY
Indigo Zap is a high energy thrill-seeker and is hyper competitive, she lives fast and lives life to the fullest. She's damn tough and is downright ferocious, but despite her tough exterior, it's not hard to get along with her, she likes to have a fun time and enjoys just hanging out with her friends or anyone else she has something in common with. In her free time she enjoy maintaining or upgrading her motorcycle, which she built herself. She's also into Martial Arts, as well as Boxing, Kick-Boxing and Wrestling, and was inspired to learn as many fighting styles as she could by her Hero – Daring Do, who is world-renowned as a Martial Arts champion, and who she hopes she can train under one day.

CASUAL
Indigo's preferred style of dress when off-duty. She prefers to look like the badass she feels that she is, and she is one.

BASE UNIFORM
The standard uniform of Consortium members when stationed within one of their bases.

OPERATIONS
Operatives typically wear something like this when on a mission that does not involve being in disguise or hiding in plain sight. The insignia on the left arm signifies the operatives speciality and role, and in Indigo Zap's case, she is a Soldier and Hunter, trained and equipped for battle.

CLASS: SOLDIER
Indigo Zap's role is that of soldier, and as expected she is trained for combat and in the use of various weapons. Typically the soldier class act as front-line warriors, guards or hunters, taking on missions where combat is expected or when armed security is necessary. When hunting, they are tasked with pursuing and either capturing, nullifying or sometimes destroying targets that have been designated as a threat, such as supernatural and magical beings, villains and rogue technological threats such as out of control Robots created by Rogue Mad Scientists. Soldiers usually operate in teams, but are sometimes trusted to operate solo depending on the task at hand, such as hunting a dangerous criminal or supernatural or technological entity.

VIRTUE: JUSTICE
In Season 4, 10 members of the Consortium gain "Virtues", which are the Consortium's versions of the Elements of Harmony, which they will use to help the Rainbooms defeat a powerful Enemy at the end of Season 4. Indigo's Virtue is Justice, granting her magical power derived from her dedication to pursuing the wicked and her belief in justice as a higher ideal that applies to everyone equally.

IN THE FAN-SERIES
In my fan-series, Indigo Zap works as part of a team made up of Herself, Sunny Flare, Human Shimmer, Sour Sweet, Vinyl Scratch, Starlight Glimmer and Moondancer. Although every operative is a trained combatant, amongst her team, she is the best fighter by far, including in unarmed and armed combat. She is such a good fighter in-fact, that she is considered a prodigy, and is on the Consortium's list of candidates to receive training from Daring Do herself, who is considered one of the best Martial Artists in the world. Finally, Zap will have a long-term rivalry with Rainbow Dash, with the two almost always antagonizing each other whenever they encounter each other, with their Friends usually having to diffuse the tension or sometimes even restrain one or both of them.

THE TECHNOLOGICAL CONSORTIUM
The primary recurring antagonists of Series 1, turned Allies in series 2, with a strong presence in every season. The Technological Consortium, or just "The Consortium" for short, is a secret global organization which runs most of what goes on in the world from behind the scenes. They investigate, hunt, and police the mystical and supernatural elements of the world, but they also deal with other threats like Rogue Scientists, AI's, Super Villains, Aliens, dangerous technology and other dangerous elements and natural or unnatural, disasters. Think of the Consortium as a combination of The Men in Black, the SCP Foundation and the Technocratic Union from Mage: The Ascension. Members are often referred to as "Techs" by outsiders, such as the Rainbooms.

The Technological Consortium is lead by it's supreme and enigmatic leader, from a possition known as "The Supreme Scientist", who is said to always be the most intelligent and wise Person of their time.

You can read about the Technological Consortium here.

In my series, the Consortium will frequently be at odds with the Rainbooms and Equestria, who they see as rogue elements and potential threats. The Consortium has been watching the Rainbooms for quite some time, and have been assisting them from behind the scenes in hopes that the Equestrian problem will resolve itself, while taking steps to perform damage control or commit resources to backup plans should the Rainbooms fail. For example, they were prepared to step in during the initial Sunset Shimmer and Midnight Sparkle incidents before those things resolved themselves. Sometimes their assistance was absolutely necessary, such as during the Sirens incident, where they sent one of their young operatives, Vinyl Scratch, to free the Rainbooms and provide them with aid against The Dazzlings. Did you think Vinyl Scratch just so happened to show up with a giant transforming sound-stage equipped car...?

This is a pretty interesting idea for an AU, having the Shadowbolts be secret agents and such, along with some other characters - I must admit, the thought of Vinyl Scratch of all characters as an agent is quite novel

Thank you. I got the idea for Vinyl being an agent when I began pondering how strangely coincidental and convenient it was that she was not only immune to the Dazzlings control, but was available to save the Rainbooms from Trixie's trap as well as her just so happening to have a transforming car that turned into exactly what the Rainbooms needed to fight the Dazzlings.

Besides which, at least one government affiliated organization ought to have noticed there was weird supernatural stuff going on at this one school.

Hehe. Perhaps Vinyl *is* a secret agent. Or alternately, to connect with another Hasbro property, perhaps she's friends with one of the Transformers?

Anyway, joking aside, this is an interesting idea for an AU. I'll definitely be checking out more of it in future.

Interesting. I myself have been working on my own version of an agency that is keeping tabs on the humane 7.

Will there be a history of this Technological Consortium organization?

There will yes. I am still writing up all the stuff about them. it will contain information on things like...

* The Founding

* History
* Organization and World Influence
* Ranks and Classifications

* Leadership

* Ethics and Goals

* Ideologies and Beliefs

* Enemies and Allies

* The Supreme Scientist (The Consortium's Leader)

In short though, using other media as comparison, it's like a combination of the Men in Black, The SCP Foundation and the Technocratic Union from Mage: The Ascension. I have revealed some information on them in earlier instalments for my fan-fics character designs, mainly the original Human Shimmer design sheet. There is a link to it in the image description for this picture.
