Description
This is a design sheet for several Agents and Soldiers as they appear in my Equestria Girls fan-fiction series I am working on. It's still a work in progress and is subject to changes and revision, and I will be releasing bits and pieces of information with each entry before I move onto the real thing. You can read more about what I have so far by following the links listed at the bottom of the image description, and it's recommended to read them in order. These Agents work for a secretive global organization known as the Technological Consortium, which has been safeguarding Humanity from various magical, supernatural and technological threats for centuries.
THE FAN-SERIES
I am in the process of writing a road-map and world building for a fan-fiction series of Equestria Girls. Basically, I am writing it like a television series which acts as a sequel to where the original left off, made-up of 2 series', comprised of 5 seasons each, and each season consisting of at least 26 episodes, with a movie serving as the finale. It will be written in the style and tone of the actual show. It's basically what I would do if I was the writer for the actual Equestria Girls series. I do not actually plan on writing full episodes, as that would take too much time and effort, but I may produce a few scripts for some episodes. Instead I write my fan-series in an episodic, synopsis style which details events.
AGENTS
The Agents represent the Consortium throughout the series, especially in season 1 when the existence of the Consortium is not fully revealed. They observe and pursue targets, and meet with special individuals or groups the Consortium hopes to open negotiations of some sort with, and act as bodyguards and low level security, and are also dispatched to issue warnings to certain people who are interfering with something the Consortium is interested in, such as the Rainbooms.
IN THE FAN-SERIES
The Agents appears as early as the first episode, bumping into the Rainbooms as they investigate their first fully native Human world supernatural phenomenon - A Lychanthrope, AKA a Werewolf. The Agents are the most visible aspect of the Consortium in Season 1 when the existence of their organization is still a mystery, but are encountered sometimes by the Rainbooms when they are undertaking some kind of investigation involving the paranormal or some kind of dangerous scientific or technological anomaly. They are also sometimes seen observing the Rainbooms or other characters, and Agents are sent to speak to Doctor Time-Turner Whooves in his introductory episode, whose inventions and genius the Consortium desires. In season 2, when the existence of the Consortium is known, the Agents are sometimes sent to deliver a warning to one or more of the Rainbooms. Usually it's someone like Agent Sweetie Drops or Human Shimmer who delivers warnings to the Rainbooms post Season 1, but the Rainbooms are sometimes approached by these People in Black instead, giving ominous warnings about how they are aware of their involvement in something and to either cease and desist or to tell them to stay away.
SOLDIERS
The Consortium's Soldiers and Guards are stationed en-mass at their bases and outposts, and are sent to respond to especially dangerous threats, such as dangerous Monsters or technology, Super Villains or to suppress and or contain large-scale attacks or incursions, such as dimensional breeches which see many Spirits or other otherworldly beings pour into the Human world.
They are armed with advanced armour and energy weapons, and their helmets are also fitted with advanced sensors, respirators, communication systems, head mounted light and several alternate vision modes, including infra-red. Due to the fact I am writing this series in a hopefully faithful manner to the actual series, I try to keep things realistically restrained, and their weapons would not be used in a "lethal" manner, firing concussive energy blasts to knock down or stun targets. I went with energy weapons partially to show how advanced the technology available to the Technological Consortium is, but also because I'm sure deadly, conventional firearms would be a huge no-no at Hasbro for a series like Friendship is Magic and Equestria Girls.
IN THE FAN-SERIES
The Soldiers of the Technological Consortium are not shown to be active until Season 2, when the viewers would be aware of the existence of the Technological Consortium due to the events of the Season 1 two-part finale, where we actually see their base and other holdings, which have many Guards and Soldiers present.
Throughout series 1, there will be a major story arc involving the dimensional barriers between the Human world and the other dimensions, particularly the Spirit Plane, breaking down, resulting in many Spirits and other Entities emerging into the Human world. The more aggressive and malicious incursions which will be held back by the Soldiers of the Consortium and General Tempest Shadow. The Soldiers of the Consortium will continue to appear all throughout the series whenever a scene takes place in a Consortium base or when there is a dangerous threat the Consortium needs to confront.
THE TECHNOLOGICAL CONSORTIUM
The primary recurring antagonists of Series 1, turned Allies in series 2, with a strong presence in every season. The Technological Consortium, or just "The Consortium" for short, is a secret global organization which runs most of what goes on in the world from behind the scenes. They investigate, hunt, and police the mystical and supernatural elements of the world, but they also deal with other threats like Rogue Scientists, AI's, Super Villains, Aliens, dangerous technology and other dangerous elements and natural or unnatural, disasters. Think of the Consortium as a combination of The Men in Black, the SCP Foundation and the Technocratic Union from Mage: The Ascension. Members are often referred to as "Techs" by outsiders, such as the Rainbooms.
The Technological Consortium is lead by it's supreme and enigmatic leader, from a position known as "The Supreme Scientist", who is said to always be the most intelligent and wise Person of their time.

In my series, the Consortium will frequently be at odds with the Rainbooms and Equestria, who they see as rogue elements and potential threats. The Consortium has been watching the Rainbooms for quite some time, and have been assisting them from behind the scenes in hopes that the Equestrian problem will resolve itself, while taking steps to perform damage control or commit resources to backup plans should the Rainbooms fail. For example, they were prepared to step in during the initial Sunset Shimmer and Midnight Sparkle incidents before those things resolved themselves. Sometimes their assistance was absolutely necessary, such as during the Sirens incident, where they sent one of their young operatives, Vinyl Scratch, to free the Rainbooms and provide them with aid against The Dazzlings. Did you think Vinyl Scratch just so happened to show up with a giant transforming sound-stage equipped car...?
