Description

Light runner and Sun diver armour have been installed on (possibly) over 500,000 TUF’s with many more still to receive this refit when they reach the Foundry.

With the power issue resolved the Red Glare can fire with its power at maximum with no overheat (thanks to the Sun diver armour) and can take down shields instantly. The extra power also gives the TUF the ability to fire all its energy based weapons without the danger of over loading the energy core. This includes the Red Glare, EMP cannon, Laser turrets and the new Plasma Flechette cannons

With the Sun diver armour installed many captains of the TUF’s are adopting the idea of full speed ramming enemy ships since they will hardly get a scratch from the impact (Foundry engineers don’t recommend since many TUF’s have got stuck in the other ships hull).

The Flechette cannons have been upgraded to the new Plasma Flechette cannons replacing all 12 of the original projectile based cannons.

Shields that were not installed on the original TUF’s due to power issue are now installed and are in use.

The full armament of this ship consists of is:

2 regular Hiigaran type torpedo tubes
4 Heavy Vulcan Kinetic guns (Two at the bottom two at the top)
2 Kinetic Burst Cannons
1 EMP cannon
4 Trinity beam (located at the front)
6 O class missile launchers
1 Fusion type torpedo launcher
3 anti-fighter missile launchers
6 Laser turrets
12 Plasma Flechette cannons
