Description
There is a very good reason behind the title, but I'd rather leave it up to speculation.Anyway, made for studio art, a printing exercise using 3 media. The skull was printed via dry-point, the figure and the snake using digital on photo paper, and the film through silk screen. These of course aren't the final prints - I cobbled this one together pretty much for compositional purposes, using the original digital files (except for the skull, which is a scan of the dry-point). I doubt I'll post the final, traditional print though.
Through 3 printing techniques, sought to explore 3 aspects of reality, because reality always manifests in threes, from the Christian trinity to the recurring triple goddess motif in many mythologies. I sought to represent the Cosmetic, the Subconscious, and the Spiritual aspects.
The hands are all my own. The skull, unfortunately, is not. Keep an eye out for the fine details in the left portion; I used more than a dozen images all in all for that.
Dissatisfied with texture, but this was put together really hastily. Tell me your thoughts, and enjoy.

I like the combination of styles and textures, all in all. Things like this can sometimes turn out looking eclectic and crazy, but you pulled it off very well.

Oh gosh darnit why haven't i seen this in my inbox? >n>;
anyways, interesting picture oAo~~ i'm pretty sure you meant for the splatters to be blurred, but i think they're too blurred and a tad bit block/pixelley. The hands look really nice, and fun to do >u>~

Sorry, the original texture was taken directly from a scan of the dry-point so it was tiny. The piece took three or four hours of solid work spread over a few weeks. I spent a lot of time on the concept though.

7. On a slightly related note, I changed my computer clock to US Eastern time to avoid confusion with everything.

I think the textures are fine. Really interesting composition you have here! Do the hands mean anything?

They sure do. The use of the film is symbolic of our cosmetic, material vanity. Also, take note of how the hands all seem to be reaching for something just out of view. This is symbolic of our continuous but impossible pursuit of perfection; we are all burdened by society's expectations of us, and like the hands, we are eternally frozen, just out of reach.

A very intriguing and deep concept! Now that I understand it better, the composition and texture is great!

The hands are definitely interesting, though IMO the border for the left picture is a bit thick and the texture is pretty soft, which conflicts with the rest of the picture.
Though I do like it, it's really cool!

So... you've taken up statistics?
An interesting combination of techniques.

No, not statistics. Just disappointment. Thank you.
