Description
1000 years before Sonic & Co. would visit it, there was a planet that constantly struggled with the brink of death at the loss of its planet egg. Nearly devoid of all life at its earliest as the aftermath. That planet was Obidon. Out of the need of an experiment, Dreamweaver created the Inkdrian known as Miasmat to restore the ability to house life on the planet. The task took longer than estimated, the original populace wiped off the planet. The side of the planet Miasmat was born to was deemed unsustainable. But on another side, where the sun always faced Obidon by day, Miasmat found soil not touched by the crisis. At the end of a long 500 years, Obidon was reborn...but as a fraction of what it once was.

The first 100 years would see a more secluded civilization, made as part of this restoration experiment, rise from the ashes of the old...out of sight; an Inkdrian clan known only as the Celestars. This new era for Obidon is plagued by a curse set to put the planet on the cycle of death once again, however, as four kingdoms fell every 100 years...abominations replacing their civilizations that once housed countless Inkdrians. The current era of the Celestars have split their efforts in half out of desperation, as a threat whose freedom was forseen draws near...and a second extinction more than possible This era of Celestar Inkdrians - of the civilization known as Shimousa - are the ones who live among the modern day population in the galaxy.

An Introduction to The Celestar Inkdrian Clan
A clan of Pure Inkdrians that has existed for 500 years. The Celestars are Inkdrians who live their lives based on the idealogies of universal unification their first civilization's ruler, Bilgamesh, had in life. Through this, they have recently become very famous as a trading clan all across the galaxy with strong spiritual beliefs surrounding DreamWeaver. Mainly due to the legends surrounding their first civilization, and the Inkdrians of the Celestars' Shimousa era eventually discerning the identity of a major figure this clan only knew as "The Painter of Pure White" for hundreds of years.

Every Celestar Inkdrian is trained in using a set of two Weaver Spirit Fans, the tools of their belief's practices that also serve as a means of self-defense. While dismissed as a misconception by the Celestars, many believe the Weaver Spirit Fans' likeness to DreamWeaver stems from being blessed by DreamWeaver herself. The truth being they are replicas of a gift said to have been given to DreamWeaver long ago. Using these fans, they can do many things. Most famously, gaining knowledge from the stars via a very special dance only some Celestars learn per civilization.

In their time existing, the Celestar Inkdrians have had five civilizations. Four of which are no longer around; the Urukian Celestars, the Themiscyran Celestars, the Dholaviran Celestars, the Azcapotzalcoan Celestars, and - currently - the Shimousan Celestars.

The Locations of Planet Obidon
Over the course of 500 years, the Celestars have managed to chart out all of the unexplored regions of Obidon. Even stumbling upon landmarks tied to their beliefs and legends, and the ancient graveyard of the Obidon they never grew to know of. These locales include:

1) Uruk - Founded 499 years before Sonic & Co.'s landing, and the very first Celestar civilization. Rulers: Bilgamesh (King) and Siduri. (Queen) Civilization heavily influenced by the three Mesopotamian kingdoms, primarily Babylonia. Fell in a last stand against the Inkdrian known as Angra Mainiuu.

2) Themiscyra - Founded 399 years prior to Sonic & Co.'s landing, and the second Celestar civilization. Ruler(s): Penthesilia. (Queen) Dominantly female civilization heavily influenced by the Amazons. Fell in battle against amalgamated monsters that came from the fallen civilization of Uruk.

3) Dholovira - Founded 299 years prior to Sonic & Co.'s landing, and the third Celestar civilization. Rulers(s): The Dholoviran Elder Council. Heavily influenced by the civilizations of ancient India, especially the one the civilization it is named after. Fell after being flanked by Themiscyran and Urukian monstrosities, but was escaped in time to avoid the significantly high casualties of the past kingdoms.

4) Azcapotzalco - Founded 199 years prior to Sonic & Co.'s landing, and the fourth Celestar civilization. Ruler(s): Quetz. (Emperor) Heavily influenced by the Aztec civilization. Were not as fortunate as the Dholovirans who left the foundation of their empire for them, and were almost completely wiped out in a noticeably more strategic attack by the same monsters that caused the destruction of the civilizations that preceded Azcapotzalco.

5) Shimousa - Founded 99 years prior to Sonic & Co.'s landing. The fifth and current Celestar civilization, and the civilization that existed by the time Sonic & Co. landed on the opposite side of Obidon. Ruler(s): Keeana's parents (deceased), Keeana. (Empress) Population split in half; half offworld with Keeana in search of a way to end the Celestar's misfortunes by trading with other races and Inkdrians, and half holding the fort and keeping as hidden as possible from the amalgamated monsters overrunning Obidon. Heavily influenced by Edo-Period Japan.

6) Painter's Sanctum - A sacred place protected from the monstrosities on Obidon found in Urukian Celestar territory. Giant temple composed of gold and lapis lazuli, with a giant tree with flowers known as Cosmic Cherry Blossoms towering from its heart. Said to have been the place Bilgamesh and DreamWeaver had their chance meeting long ago before the temple's construction. It is also said to be the layline to call upon DreamWeaver's aid, but only to be used should Bilgamesh's vision of Angra escaping his prison come to pass. An ancient trial other offworld races once participated in can also be performed here by ascending the tree from somewhere within the temple.

7) Agartha - Dubbed this by all Celestars, Agartha is the graveyard that is the dead remains of the old Obidon...unrestorable by even a Planet egg from years of endless decay. There was an unnamed race that once lived in this place long before the Metarex took Obidon's original Planet egg. While it is forbidden territory to Celestars and all Inkdrians since its discovery out of respect for its dead, it is also the only blindspot of the planet's atmosphere. However, said blindspot is too small to be safe for anything not landing just to go there specifically. It is here that Sonic & Co. landed when the Celestars made up Obidon's nearly non-existant population count. This was once Miasmat's home 1000 years ago, but she vanished during the fall of Uruk.

8) Akasha Isle - Another isle of Urukian Celestar territory. Akasha Isle was the only place left on Obidon fit for a replacement Planet Egg when Miasmat was attempting to restore the planet, given the required energy a Planet Egg needs to sustain a planet's ecosystem. It is also the same Planet Egg Angra Mainiuu was sealed in as the aftermath of Bilgamesh and DreamWeaver's combined efforts to keep the twisted Inkdrian from destroying all life. The seal is weakening each passing year, however...and the seal's cracks over time have allowed a curse to taint Obidon's soil...giving the monstrosities all over Obidon free access to almost everywhere except for Agartha, Painter's Sanctum, and the Treasury of Obidon.

9) Treasury of Obidon - A place only spoken of in legends. All Celestars and Inkdrians since the days of Uruk are not sure it even exists, but somewhere deep within the planet is an ancient treasury made thanks to Bilgamesh and DreamWeaver's combined creative genius. It keeps record of all that has and will live on Obidon, serves as a way for deceased Inkdrians on Obidon to be returned to DreamWeaver via her Stargazers in a more manageable and organized manner, houses all knowledge about the planet and its history that was permitted to be kept on record, and even contains the mythical blade Bilgamesh was said to be famed for somewhere deep inside that is awaiting its foretold new master; Azrael. There is also a lone Stargazer positioned here as the cryptkeeper of the treasury's Inkdrian tombs, likely having been here since its completion. Only certain people can open the vault, but they can only be either DreamWeaver, Stargazers, or those meant to utilize the full potential of Azrael.

Current plans for Planet Obidon (May Expand Later)
Obidon is a major planet planned to appear in Indrabelle Arc IV, taking up a whopping two full chapters. One for Shimousa and the entire Urukian territory, the other for Painter's Sanctum and the Treasury of Obidon.

The entire Urukian territory also serves as the setting for "Memories of the King", a series of lore-based, smaller art pieces with descriptions of DreamWeaver's most important memories of Bilgamesh during the chance period they knew each other from his life to his death.
