Down in the world of dark and deep, they pray to the gods who sleep far lower. Within churches built upon the burning vents and within the yawning chasms, they chant and speak of those who shall protect them. Great beings who keep the blinding light at bay and those that descend from it. Down there, darkness is their world, their home. For all that live within their kingdom, they would do anything to protect it. Even those who have made the holy vows are willing to take arms against those who would bring the burning light to their home and sear away their loving darkness. The priests of this kingdom are speakers and fighters as well. Held within their hands is the power of the depths and currents, which they use to praise to their gods, and crush the blasphemous invaders.---------------------------

Somewhat, as the abyssal talk definitely fits it. I was more of going with echinoderm based creatures and it kind of evolved into a kingdom. With bizarre forms and deep sea habitat, it pretty much writes itself as some Lovecraftian world!
