Description I've been working on this model for about 18 days now. It was created in 123D Creature from scratch then transferred into Sculptris to add in the eyes and do some finer details. It was quite a challenge making sure all the legs hit the ground properly. I transferred between Sculptris and 123D Design to help sort that out. I'm quite new to 3D modeling so it took probably a lot more time than necessary. We just got our 3D printer towards the end of August. It's been quite a struggle learning how to create 3D models, learning the various programs but also dealing with proper anatomy. Actual photos of the 3D printed model will be followed shortly.

The inspiration for wanting to create this was for the SeeMeCNC Halloween contest.

Good work! Β What's that modeling program like? What types of controls do you have? I'm familiar mostly with NX which I doubt would be used for this type of modeling. Β

123d creature is great for handling anatomy properly. It allows you to create a skeletal structure that helps immensely at keeping the anatomy as good as possible. If you have an iPad is highly recommend it. It's free. Sculptris is basically a free version of brush with minimal features like paint, pinch, pull, smoothing etc.
