Description
This is a Timbavati White lion (Panthera leo krugeri). They have a recessive gene known as leucism not to be confused with albinism. There are approximately 30 known White Lions in the world many of which are located in zoos due to the high fatality rate in the wild. Absolutely beautiful, what a magnificent and gorgeous creature! Lions are truly majestic and magical creatures.
Unfortunately being caged up in zoos all around the world does not reflect or portray their true majesty. No creature should be caged up, we as human beans are charged as the dominant species to protect and nurture our environment. I must say for such a technological advanced race we have a lot to learn from nature.
Yes as a matter of fact this lion does resemble Aslan the lion. Now I know where Disney got their character ideas from for the character Aslan the lion.
