In this story, the flames reached Kiara and burned a big part of her body and face, leaving big parts without fur, losing part of the ear, complete audition, and vision of the right eye.

Kiara not only feels that she's an ugly lioness because of her new look, she feels useless even for hunting. Losing the vision and the audition for a lioness is hard for living in the wild, even for a princess.

She passes all the days in the cave. She doesn't want that no one sees her. That causes the Zira's plan go everything to the trash. Kovu even can't go close to her, even trying to be friends again.

Obviously, she leaves behind the idea of being queen, she knows that no one will want her to be queen looking like that. Simba starts to be desperate, he now doesn't have any heir to the throne. He literally forced Nala to be pregnant again, with a little time difference from Kiara's accident.

She confronts his father about the situation, and Simba only answered that's the best for the throne and the kingdom, and that's not to replace her as Kiara feels.

Even with his father's words, she started to take distance herself from her family and the other lionesses and found an old and abandoned cave (Scar's cave). She passes the days here, until the born of her new sister, the new queen who will replace her.

She can hold anymore see her family happy again with that cub, and ran away from the Pridelands one night, crossing the Outlands.

Kion notices Kiara's situation and her disappearance.

Finally, he found her. It was hard to recognize her because of her scars, but Kiara recognize her brother easily, who is followed by two other lions, Kopa and Mheetu.

Kion comforts her, saying that they know that feeling of desolation and abandonment. Now, they have another member in his pack.

The four brothers are finally reunited, but the animals talk, and a rumor arrived from Kion's ears: A lion of another kingdom who the animals notice that he has so many similitudes to their "dead" brother, Fluffy.

And Kion will not waste this precious situation.
