I *finally* finished my commission for Sonja!! *wub* She was my very best friend, and now she's flown off to the other side of the country, and I won't get to see her again for some time. I hope this is what you wanted girl.
My first complete commission to be posted on. DA. I'm pondering if I should make a *very* brief tutorial on this.. since I have a couple of the stages saved separately.

That's really quite nice. I still have no idea how to use Painter 6, so I'm not jumping up and down to use it...
As for you picture, I really like it. The colors and lighting are very nice, I especially like the backlighting on the robe and such, and her face is quite well drawn too. And the sky is really lovely here. Nicely done!

Nice colours anyway. The red hair vs the blue dress. I love the clouds at the back! They're so pretty and fluffy.
But the dandelions, I think it would be nicer if there were more, because at the moment the background seems very sparse. Maybe more clouds, or difference in colour near the top?

Well, you'll have to credit the client with the dress design. ^_^. It's the dress that she wanted me to draw the elf in. She also chose the colors for the hair and eyes, and I filled in the rest. ^_^

Yes, I tried to rely less on the lineart, and more on the shading to bring out shapes. I was originally gonna get rid of the lines altogether, but then.. it just didn't look right, so I kept them, but very minimally. Thank you very much!

Wow Devlin, this turned out so nice. I really like the sky, its so soft and enchanting. The girl is beautiful, the elven feaures are great as are her eyes. I really like the little floating seeds and grass, they are very well done. Beautiful digital painting! ^^
