Description Milky Way Rainbow - Death Valley,CA 2013

•Del Mar Fair - San Diego Local Photography Competition 2013 : 1st Place in Color Landscapes

This area wasn't to far from stovepipe wells. Couldn't sleep that night for some reason so i woke up around 2:00 a.m. and walked through the desert! I saw that the milkyway was out and about so i took my chance to photograph my first panoramic milkyway. Im so happy with these results!! Just happy that it came out exactly how i imagined in my head. This trip really inspired me even more to get out there and experience life more in nature. I hope to have a lot more trips this year . Thank you! For the naked it does look like this to a point. The milky way to the naked eye looks like a clustor of stars across the sky. Almost like a river of stars you can defnitely see it but what the camera captures that our eyes can't see is to the right of the image. Which i think is the gas dont quote me lol not the best but im pretty sure. But even though we can't see it, the milky way and all those stars is still a dreamy sight!

It's beautiful! I've always wanted to get away from these city lights to get a better view of the night sky. Though, I fear I may never leave that area if I do that lol Awesome job! c:

Of course for this my set up was f 3.5, shutter: 30 secs, ISO 3200. Thanks for the comment

It is incredible. One of my dreams is to get out of the city and see what the sky really looks like for myself, not just through pictures.

Thanks a lot No problem my set up was Nikon D7000, Lens: 18-105mm f 3.5. Now my setings was f 3.5, Shutter Speed : 30 secs, ISO 3200. Hope this helps
