i played it , but didn't nearly enjoy it like the third installment . it was slightly more realistic .
really ? the only battle i actually enjoyed was raging raven !!! as you said , laughing octopus was creepy , crying wolf was just not my thing , and screaming mantis scared the hell out of me !!! with those dolls ............

Yep, nr.3 is also my favorite game in the series. MGS1 is close, then 4, 2.
Raven was fun, some nice dodge and cover-action. I liked the sneaky sniper-action in the Crying Wolf-fight (and the bad weather made it even more interesting) - Okay, I liked the level in General. Shadow Moses is just cool! - Especially since you were allowed to control Metal Gear Rex for a short time (I wanted to do that ever since I finished MGS1)
Laughing Octopus is 10 times weirder when you battle here after 1am - no need to say I didn t sleep to well that night xD !
Screaming Mantis wasn t unfamiliar to me in the first place. In MGS1, you have to fight against Psycho-Mantis (fun-fact: The intros to Psycho-Mantis and Screaming Mantis are exactly the same!). All in all, the fight is basically the sae (the dolls are new) but it doesn t change that it is disturbing!

i mostly liked raven because of the level in general , finally i got to see eva die !!! i wanted her dead from the moment she appeared in the third game !!! controlling rex was also fun , although i think ray would have been better !!! the part i really hated about that level was the end when raiden stops a gigantic submarine with his foot only . what were they thinking ?

The gameplay was okay, standart-MGS. But that Raiden!!! - And a pretty WTF?!-story!
Yup, Raiden is a little drama-queen! I also thought "er, Raiden? That s a damn huge submarine! Wait, you re not really trying to stop that thing?! Sheesh, if you want to help Snake, grab him and move out of here you moron!"
