So, after a long break I m finally back to the comic, now with a new art-design. I ve changed Malefor s colors a bit - I guess, the past design was to much of an Spyro-recolor, so I ve darkened the colors and changed the head-shape slightly. Also, new background-style. What do you think? Looks better than the old pages?Page 5: [link]

I actually liked the old colors of Malefor from the previous page more because so many people use the generic DS version of Malefor in colors.

Long reply-time is long! Sorry for not answering sooner!
They were brighter, eh? I had some trouble with the shading back then. I used the dodge/burn-tool what gave me some really great results, but were a pain to control. That s mostly why I changed colors later on, although I m thinking to go back to the roots since I actually liked the old color-key a little bit more - and now with me haveing gained a bit more experience with coloring and a few new shading-tricks, the old colors could be a real blast!

Mal is tricky! I myself spend hours on that head! For some reason, it really confused me XD - plus the amount of spikes plastered all over his body XD

Haha, I don t get many comments, most people only fave and run. Yeah, and I m working a lot with expressions and body-language the last days - well, it s an effective way to show emotions in a comic!

the guerrilla fave and run tactic !!!!!!!!!!!!!! of course it is !!! but most people forget it and instead resort to ( often ) cheesy lines , brutal violence or ( god forbid !!! ) mature content so much that they forget their plot !!!!!!!

yes it is indeed a dark day when one is given the task of destroying half the reputation of an already shallow game ( dotd ) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you don't have to tell me how THAT ends !!!! i don't get it really , either create your own story or add something to an original story , don't ruin it ( of course by " you " i don't mean you , it's a figure of speech ) !!!!!!

Yeah, I know^^! I mostly stay away from the Spyro-era and like to put my stories in the past, or in the future, so I don t have to watch out that much. Well, Spyro is the hero of his era, so I got my problems with developing a new dragon-hero for that time. Enemys go well into that era. My own character Concer (that blue dog-guy) was once a member of the pirates from Eternal Night (wow, that guy was a complete cliche from the "bad guy with golden heart"-toolbox XD !), before I let him go his own way. Well, Malefor offers me an original story-arc that isn t fully developed, so that I still have my artistic freedome! In fact, there is the part with the elders, his growing corruption and imprisonment in that well of souls-thingie, the rest is pretty much up to me^^!

so the basis of the original story stands still , that's good !!!!!!! but saying the pre-written story is wrong is like saying , for example , america was never discovered . instead christopher colombus married my cousin and now they have ( not had , " have " ) 15 beautiful children . i just want to strangle those guys !!!!!!!!

Agreed! I mean, that s what a fandom is based of, right? The characters with their backstories, relationships and so on. Well, now in my case, I also need to watch out what I m doing: For example, I can give Malefor a girlfriend, but, should there be a future kid of those two, it s not allowed to be purple - or I can t let Malefor wipe out all, hm, let s say moles, even when he had a good reason to do so. It would collide with the actions from A new beginning and the entire TLOS-story in general.

right !!!!!!! and be careful about what you're doing because i'm !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and that's the sad part about writing about the past isn't it ? you can't change it !!! like i really wanted malefor to succeed in his " purpose " ( yeah i'm a psycho so what ? ) !!!!!!!!!! but that can't happen !!!!!!!!!!

there was a story , currently stopped but really well written . it was about after malefor's defeat at the hands ( paws ? ) of spyro and cynder . the main plot was that the only reason mali lost was because he used most of his energy summoning the destroyer , and then he suddenly returns !!!!!! more powerful than before and then he ............ wait a minute , perhaps you'd like to read it yourself ?

well the writers say it's put on hold but they don't know for how much longer . * warning : it shows a very dark world so it's not for the faint of heart * if you're still interested here's the link [link] . and if you like that one , there's one similar to it about mali's past ( put on hold for who knows how much longer ) .

Sounds good^^! Hm, more mystical than action sounds good to me - well, most people like that Dragonball-style action that goes on forever and in the end has no big point, because it s followed by another fight, and another and another....
