Photobashed. You take a few photos, throw them together and do a bit of overpainting so it doesn t look like a photo anymore and fits in with the painted characters! I painted this in a hurry and didn t really have the time to paint the background myself^^!

I wanted to make a little tutorial about it. All in all, it has a lot to do with masks and blend-modes as well as some overpainting and adjusting the light.

Das Gesamtbild ist klasse! Ich finde aber den KΓΆrper des Hybriden etwas zu Kurz geraten, dadurch wirkt es, als hΓ€tte es nur einen Bauch, aber keinen Brustkorb.

Das is der komische Winkel. Ist auch etwas verdreht, aber naja: Ich hatte 6 Stunden um das zu zeichnen um meine Projektabgabe zu retten, deshalb war ich etwas gehetzt XD ! Das Shading ist eigentlich auch recht schlampig, wenn man sichs nΓ€her anschaut (das war keine Aufforderung XD !)

Oh, the cat-thing is something that came to my mind during a creature design/art lesson at uni. We were drawing hybrids and I mixed a fennec fox with a leafy seadragon. The endresult looked like some sort of fire-cat and that s what I made out of it. Some bonus-inspiration on posing and so on came from the brush-god Gekigami from Okami. A great Action-Platformer if I may say.

Yeah, to bad it happened one day before the project was due and my last backup was, well, lets say, when I imported my maya-basemesh one week after project-start. - Always keep backups, kids!
Oh yeah! Still one of my all-time favorites out there! Alongside with Fallout, Stalker, Shadow of the Colossus, Ratchet & Clank and Metal Gear Solid!
