Well, the usual end of semester-stress in general. Tons of projects and exams and the like.

Ha! Yesterday, Su and I met up with our project-supervisor to show our final results (and get some advice on final tweaks). She also supervised another student: Lets just say you re fucked if Hendrik, our Head-instructor, decides to drop in on the meeting because you only have some paper-sketches and the deadline is in three days! The fun thing about Hendrik is: He s no one to become mad, just disappointed.

Thanks! It s done now (At least the time s up!) - Really felt good to actually invest a bunch of time in a single artwork. I should do this more often! (If alone to boost my artistic power!) - But now I really want to do some 3d again!

cool !!! man if only i had the time to do some 3d again . Uni's killing me , it's great that i actually like AI unlike the rest of the class who just wanted a degree , but it's tough work . and our professors don't take anything less than 17 ( 'A' grade ) for a grade .

And yop, I agree that it is fucking rewarding when you ve mastered a complicated subject! - I was so hyped when I as the only person got the concept behind UVs (Yeah, it s a small thing, but in the beginning of our studies those things didn t make any sense XD !)

Well, in exams, tests and the like we have to cut UVs freehand, so it s wise to practice this from time to time. I consider it relaxing: It s pure logic (where to hide seems, where to cut to get nice UV-shells that will fit into the UV-space nicely), and that s what I like about it. It s just such a no-brainer-task! - Also, Maya uses lots of weird colors to show you texture-distortion what makes it easy to spot where you screwed up and where you will have to cut again. Also in the begiining before you unwrap stuff it looks so nice and colorful XD !
