Well, you don t have to be a great artist to see if something in terms of anatomy is off - especially with something you see every day in the dozens - like humans for example. I had to rush the pose a bit, so I only realized the weird legs when I was already shading (And I really hate changing stuff that far into the progress XD)

Also, been playing some Monster Hunter lately again and it just dawned on me: The final village-quest you have to do is called "The brilliant Darkness": What you have to do is basically defeat Malefor! - No, seriously: It s a huge dragon that controls all 4 of the possible 5 elements in MH! - Also, that thing is a pain in the neck to fight against!

Oh yeah! - Although it s harder to troll them: Parties have a set order. So I can t just switch stuff around as I wish.

And well, Alatreon is a cool beast! - But my favorurite is and will always be Nargacuga and Rathalos!

what makes them so special ?

Lets see, Rathalos was one of the first monsters that completely fucked me up with his moveset. But after battleing it a few times I got used to it and I can now beat it without getting hit once Β (if I m focused). Now I can just respect it for its moveset. It s a huge red wyvern and unless Rathian, its green, female counterpart, it spends most of its time in the sky, darting down at you. With this it s one of the first monsters you face that is able to fly that actually flies most of the time. So yeah, advanced tactics needed. And believe me, its several pounce-attacks (both, from the sky and ground) hurt a lot (also: Claw-attacks will poison you). Besides: The design looks pretty neat! As for Nargacuga: black leopard-bat that is insanely fast (a few subspecies can even camouflage themselves!). Narga is one of the last monsters you have to face, and boy is it angry! That guy has quite a learning-curve!

MH does have a fair share of awesome monsters! - You can search the wiki, if you like!
Storywise it falls quite flat to be honest. It s basically you re a hunter of the hunter s guild, you re stationed in a village that serves as your base and you take quests. In MH3 the village gets shaken by a couple of earthquakes and so you hack and slash your way through those creatures in order to find out what s going on (Spoiler: It has something to do with those dragons!) and that s basically it. MH isn t really a story-driven game.
