Been watching some Classic Who from Jon Pertwee (3rd Doctor)'s era!The first time I watched an episode where he mentions/uses "Venusian Aikido," I was extremely skeptical, considering it mainly consists of him karate-chopping Autons or whatever and yelling "HAIII" but it grows on you. It's actually kind of precious, especially when the opera cloak is whooshing about as he does it.
Jo Grant seems to know quite a bit of it too, which made me think that the Doctor must have given her some pointers on how to take out aliens, which led me to the thought of aikido practice in the TARDIS. And this piece was born.
Gotta love the Dandy Doctor - all those smoking jackets, and that fabulous hair.
Copic markers, Faber-Castell pen, a whole lot of TARDIS references, and probably 5 hours, all told.

What I remember hearing about Three's mastery of Venusian Aikido is that he's handicapped by only having two arms and two legs, which also makes it more remarkable that he's a master of it.

The Aikido kinda works like the Vulcan Nerve pinch I'd think, cause If I remember correctly, sometimes he didn't hit very hard. I need to rewatch a few episodes to confirm this though. Cause my mind might just be messing with me... :V

Lol Dandy Doctor. Man, the first time I saw him use his Karate I was sold. lol I was like, oh, yeah, that's MY Doctor. lol He's my fave as far as the "Classic Who" Docs go.
And he and Jo were just so cute together.
